Re: Show off your Pu!!!!!!!
Its just a web page set up with 4 Tables Thats the easy part.AdamMY wrote:nonc_ron

The hard part (and time consuming) is typing the paths to all the web pages that you saved over the years. Ever time I bought a Pu-erh I saved that web page. I have a folder for each vender.
This is about half of my collection.
I accidentally deleted the other half of my web pages.
By using the save button instead of the save-as button.
If theres one thing I should stress its "Always use the save-as button".
I should give credit to Brandon. He helped with the HTML when I didn't have a clue.

Good to see a fellow Malaysian here in the Forum... Which part of Malaysia are you from?
Cheers!
Thanks for the warm welcome, glad i'm here too. I'm from Kuala Lumpur - the heart of Malaysia.
I see everyone here with great pu erh collection. I just got myself a "tong" +1 of '04 "Hong Tai Chang", am really excited about it. Wonder anyone here have same taste-bud for such traditional raw pu erh? Am eyeing on the '99 "Feng Pai" now

I have pretty much what you have. So I was feeling good about your list, until I got to the Mengku Wild Arbor King.apache wrote: Mengku Wild Arbor King (2009): 2/5 Wish I didn't buy this!
I have a "2007 Mengku Wild Arbor King Raw Pu-erh tea 500g"
I've pulled it out and I'll make tea with it tomorrow. (fingers crossed)

Re: Show off your Pu!!!!!!!
First I would like to say taste is very very subjective, one person tea is another man poison, please don't take my word as gospel and see it for yourself. I knew that someone on this forum is very keen on Mengku Wild Arbor King and he must have at least 2 kg of this stuff. I think I am a little bit harsh to give it 2/5, but it has some nice aroma, the reason I mark it down is because it has a slight sour taste finish and for me a nice after taste is very important. It is the main reason I like pu'erh over and above of all other teas. I still drink Mengku Wild Arbor King at least once a week, but I don't give it much attention when I'm drinking it. Put it this way, I would rather drink Wild Arbor King than plain hot water.nonc_ron wrote:I have pretty much what you have. Re: Show off your Pu!!!!!!!
Have your tried airing it before brewing it? Try airing it for about a month under humid conditions (60% - 75% RH). Then try brewing it again... Since the tea is extremely young, have you tried brewing it with water slight under the boiling point... about 90C - 95C. Technically, wild abors should give you a good aftertaste, even when brewed young. But it needs proper time for the "Xing-Cha" process.apache wrote:I think I am a little bit harsh to give it 2/5, but it has some nice aroma, the reason I mark it down is because it has a slight sour taste finish and for me a nice after taste is very important. Re: Show off your Pu!!!!!!!
Thank you for the suggestion, I may give it a go. However, I'm not the only one find it got sour after taste, others tasted it from other years production as well. I agree, real wild arbors should have a good aftertaste, but I don't know how much actual arbors material the cake is made of, if there is any.oldmanteapot wrote:Have your tried airing it before brewing it? You can find them on TaoBao for about 200-400 RMB (30-60 USD roughly), in varying conditions and authenticity of the vendor. You can buy off of TaoBao with the help of an agent like taobaonow.com
There's a Tao Bao thread here that you can check out for more information.
