Seems like you are a fan of hojotea.com? They have one of the best information on tea/wares. IMO

I looked on the Christie's site at the Japanese and Korean art, yikes, everything is over budget.

A "fan" and not yet a customer of Hojo. It seems I have discernable taste.

Or expensive anyway.

OH my, hojotea has some amazing stuff. But from the sounds of it all of those teapots are well over what I would want to spend.

I am curious about their teas though. They have the most asamushi looking fukamushi I have ever seen.

They have the most obscure way of selling tea ... and teaware. It is bizarre. Lots of info though!

I wouldn't really say it's obscure, it makes sense though. They look to be a smallish company so having a full blown international online shopping system is a bit much for them. Instead they'll just process it manually which allows them to handle more countries, and is cheaper for the undoubtedly low volume they're seeing for international.
