And where to get something like this?

I always wondered how to prepare Matcha if guests are coming. I thought I'd whisk every bowl seperately.
That reminds me that I still need more bowls :)

BTW beautiful picture of your summer chawan.

Thanks Marco. It is a modern set from Hankook Tea in Los Angeles (also online) A very pale celadon green. But really any small mixing bowl with a pouring spout would work:

Hi Cory,
Nice to see you here!
I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you create soon!
Cheers, and all the best to you and your lovely family.

Thanks for the info V!
Beautiful celadon 'mixing' bowl.
Might I ask it's size?
It also looks like it could make nice sharing pitcher.
Cool!

Ahh too big for a sharing pitcher, better suited for a waste
bowl, but far too lovely for that. :)
It holds about 16oz. Nice for 10-12oz of matcha madness!
:)

here some details from petr:
"The clay body of the bowl is mix of few Czech stoneware with part of river sand mixed in (for "sandy filling" and for make clay more "dirty"- some spots and colors in the glaze comes from that sand). First firing for 1000°C in electric kiln. Than glazed by natural glaze which we can call basic celadon glaze. It is only local feldsphare plus about 15% of lima. This simle, basic composition makes it very variable- on almoust every pot it looks diferently- because of temperature, atmosphere in the kiln, clay body, thicknes and so on. I like the fellling of that glaze. Under that glaze I have use white slip- it means mixture of kaolin, white clay and feldsphare. Kind of decoration which I like because it is subtle, quiet and you can still see there more and more..."
