Does anyone know what shipping costs to Europe might amount to from O-cha?

I'm thinking about trying the Sae Midori sencha...I've had some bad luck with Japanese tea before, but this seems like a sure bet.

$ 4.25 to make it come over from Japan, that's cheaper than an airline ticket!

Ordered it. Yay!

I have preordered Kirameki, and SaeMidori from o-cha, next comes Kinari and a gyokuro from maiko, and a I plan on trying yuuki-cha organics in shincha form, I really look forward for this years harvest, although shizuoka suffered a serious blow from nature.

Yeah I think the Sae midori from O-cha has shipped as well, I got a mail that said "order completed..." I'm assuming that means it shipped?

How exciting this all is!

Has anyone tried both O-cha and Yuuki-cha's sae midori? I bought O-cha's last year and really liked it, but it's always fun to try something new.

Shincha has arrived !
well at least one, just couldn't wait, I was running really low on japanese green's so I put in a yuuki order, and threw in the only shincha they had out
Kagoshima Shincha Magokoro. Wow super fast delivery this time shipped on wednesday arrived friday afternoon . 10 minutes after my jing order arrived!(that took 16-17 days) It is a very happy tea day!

They have so many new shinchas for 2010 and so curious about that new handpicked asa. actually curious about all of their new asa's, so many I really need to control myself.

Never really paid much attention, but how fast do they usually sell out? Do you think they will sell out before they are actually released? Is it ok for me to wait a month or two before I order or will some teas likely be sold out?
$14 asa what is that about!?

I think it really depends on the demand for the particular Shincha but I definately would not wait 2 months. Normally they move to the regular Sencha versions of most of them when sold out of Shincha.

Well I wouldn't mind the sencha version, I'm pretty much stocked up right now, any more and I would fear it losing some flavour by the time I actually got to it.

Just as long as I can get some eventually. Shincha or sencha I really don't care as long as its fresh! Want to compare all the asa's they have this year with each other. Love that they have such an array of breeds this season.

I highly doubt they will sell out prior to being released. We're talking large tea farms with lots of tea to sell.

That said, undoubtedly, they will eventually run out and start selling the non-shincha version.

I think I'm going to go with yuuki-cha this year for my shincha purchasing. Partly because they have a bunch of teas I've never tasted. Nice to try something new. And yeah, I have my eye on that hand packed asa myself.

Let the shincha games commence.

This is actually good news in that they released on their target date! I am thinking that the release date must be later than last year's though?
