Perhaps the new is a teaware artisan who has not previously made an SOP....

True!

Nailing the origin would help.

Oops, I would not purposely, intentionally misdirect.

This is a new "TeaChat SOP Teaware artisan."

But it is not a "new to TeaChat SOP TeaChat TeawareArtisan!"

Clear as mud ... er clay?

And nailing the origin would answer part of the "something new" part of the equation.

Maybe an American this time, like Shyrabbit or Shawn?

So....we need simply to review the list of Teaware Artisans, and cross off those who have

-done an SOP before
-have already been eliminated in prior posts in this topic, including by name or by country of origin
-review their origins, pick someone from that group who works in a region that has not previously been represented (would a different part of the US be distinct enough, or must it be a different country, like Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Taiwan....?)

No time now to do the listing and crossing off, must head to work.

Read again. Nor is it a previous TeaChat SOP TeaChat TeawareArtisan.

So, you can cross off all the TeaChat TeawareArtisans this round.

So that means it's potentially a Korean potter making kyuusus... perhaps Seong Il, Chong Yeol, or another.

Or it's a Japanese maker that we're familiar with but not present here (and not the previously guessed Notomi, Sou, or Seigan). Perhaps Fugetsu? (I'd guess Yohei, but I don't want to hope too big).

It is deliberately ambiguously worded. I read that as, new to Teachat SOP, but not new to TeaChat.

Whatever.

Apologies! Ambiguity was not intended. I was actually attempting to be precise.

YES!

But we have done a LOT of Yaki from Japan, specifically Hagi. There are other Yaki originating in Japan. :!:
