Okay, so its not a tea thing per se, but it is for me tea blog, so I say it counts. Anyway, I want it, and I'm getting it in a few weeks.

Whoa, now that's a hot little number! Drive with caution, hairpin learning curves ahead and a whole new set of gotta-haves.

Really, don't get discouraged if the first hundred shots or so seem worse than your point-and-shoot pictures. Get a book, take a class, ask questions, and plan to devote some time to learning how to drive it. The artist in you may get a little frustrated waiting for the technician to get up to speed, but it's a good investment of time. And keep that point-and-shoot around for the times when it does the job best. You've achieved some really memorable photos with it.

Oh, did I mention it'll be terrific fun!

I'm looking forward to it and really excited. Its been years since I was into photography (non-teablog photography), and then I only had a regular 35 mm. Not a bad camera, but I didn't have the money to keep buying film and getting it developed.

Having a digital camera, even a point and shoot, was wonderful; I could take 200 photos in an afternoon and only be out the cost of two AA batteries. Being able to take that many photos gives a person lots of practice, and freedom to experiment. Its going to be great to have the best of both worlds now.

I love digital photography! And, Sal, well said! You are wise indeed!

:) Good luck with it, Space!

I saw pretty much that exact pot today at NCTG in seattle's international district. It was all I could do to not buy it. I think it's hilarious that you posted this, probably about an hour after I saw it. hahahah.

In the morning, if it takes good pictures of matcha, gets the color down right, I'm so having sex with it.
