I vote that we should start another thread to discuss the renaming of this thread.Salsero wrote:PROCEDURAL QUESTION: How many pages should we devote to this motion to move on?Pentox wrote: I just noticed that Part V of this thread is up to 30 pages. Is it about time to move to part VI?

Now my favourite pot has a teaboat base. Thanks to Bert for the supplier info.
Couple of things I got from Japan trip including the hand painted yunomi.
It has a special geometry and description in Japanese which I can't read. Clerk said it could bring the best aroma of a sochu and tea brewed in it, which I haven't confirmed.
Could anyone here help me with the translation?

Wow, those yunomi look beautiful! I love the tea boat, too.betta wrote:Couple of things I got from Japan trip including the hand painted yunomi.
If you can supply a larger version of the second photo, I will pass it along to a friend who reads Japanese and ask if she has time to translate.betta wrote:

BTW, I think the first word after "1." is kaori, which means aroma/fragrance ... but I just don't read enough to make anything meaningful of the rest.
Chamekke, thanks for your help. I've send you a PM of a larger picture's link.chamekke wrote:

Finally my first Korean teaware!!! I have had an interest in Korean teaware for some time now, but it's not such any easy thing to find. Especially nice pieces. Now that Hankook Tea is online and up and running, that won't be a problem! They have lots of lovelies. Although their pictures don't do them justice as you can see by this GORGEOUS set! It is so well made, and so beautiful I was stunned when I opened the box. The matching plate is large enough to use as a side plate and is very heavy. The intricate design of this piece is something to behold!! So if you click on the image below it will take you to the slide show if you want to see more. I took so many shots I had trouble deciding which I liked best! The color is actually celadon green with deep blue accents but for some reason it looks light blue. Shown in the pic is also the lid - not shown is the infuser cup which I won't ever use.

So I bought a teapot to replace my broken one (well, I fixed it so not broken anymore). Only problem, I don't know what kind of tea I should dedicate for this teapot. Any suggestions people? I bought this from a local teashop in my area (a review is on my blog!). It was $92, and very very beautiful in my eyes
Victoria: That is a STUNNING cup! I would not post pictures of it, someone might get to tempted. But I'm glad you did post all the pics and I'm glad I looked through them all, some was very nice compositions.
Betta: Pleeez, could you post bigger pics of the individual yunomis? I don't think I would be the only one interested...
