Salsero has had two Doppelgängers today ....

Sorry for the poor photo, they are phone camera shots

I just saw an aroma and tasting cup in this pattern - sweet!
It happened to be on a NON-tea site.

Oni- I don't have a warmer stand for it. It's around 500 ml. Is a gift from a friend ; )

Here's a photo of a yixing teapot someone gave me as a gift (taken with phone, sorry off-center)

Edit: the chop mark on the bottom of this pot seems to be the same one at the top of the list on this webpage (the "Zhong Guo Yixing"):

What has at this point been tentatively determined (with special help from Teachat and esp. BearsBearsBears) to be a Chaozhou teapot.

My phone is not good enough to clearly get the chop marks on the bottoms of these teapots, sorry. (I left my camera in California, long story.)

This teapot has a seal/chop mark inside the lid, very faint concentric circles inside the pot. I could not find (on the web) a chop mark example to show you that is identical to the one on the bottom of this pot. The chop mark on the bottom of this pot bears a certain resemblance (at least some characters seem to be the same, although in a different placement) to the chop mark identified as "Yixing Pottery Mark. 20th Century" or #563 on the following webpage: http://www.gotheborg.com/marks/yixing.shtml
Also the clay has the "orange" sort of tinge as opposed to the ruddy look of the photo quality - and it's a very smooth finish as opposed to the rougher feel of the yixing pot I posted above.

Both this pot and the one I posted above are about 5 oz.

I found this in the basement of a NYC Chinatown supermarket. The lid fits wonderfully well. It came with a very small cup of the same clay inside. I think there had been more cups, but over the time it had been sitting in inventory (for who knows how long) the other(s) had disappeared. (My speculation.)

Again, my apologies for the image quality.
