Lookin'

good!!
Must be nice to see the fruition of 100's of hours of work.
Opening that kiln must be like a six year old child opening a Christmas stocking.
(or better)

Those look awesome! I think my red cup will be needing a sibling soon. Now I am going to be even more impatient for the pottery show that you will be at in August.

Oh my! New shapes, new colors, new textures - yet all still very Bill

I think they are great! I am eyeing several, actually....and I am guessing I should pounce before the cinnamon kitty does

You have until August 15th or 16th.

That is when the next pottery show is at least. I'm a tactile person and need to see and hold the cups in person before I completely fall in love with them. You are safe until then.

According to the piece of paper on my cork board, it is at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park in Cazenovia, NY, which is slightly east of Syracuse.

There is always the Carousel Mall (aka Destiny USA) and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, (which has owls and penguins!). Plus, the Sterling Renaissance Festival is still open that weekend. There is one cute tea shop in downtown Syracuse as well. If you want more info on the area, feel free to PM me.

Thanks Bill for sharing with us. It must be quite a moment when you finally get to take a look at the results of your labor when you really don't know til they are done.

We are back and it was a great trip. Chip mentioned the surprize of your first looks. It's, as you can imagine, better than... well x-mas morning for a 6 year old (thanks Woozl)... You have an image in your mind of what you would like to create and then you do what you "think" will make that come about. Apply the glaze a certain way, place it in the kiln where you think it will help butas you said, you never know if it will work or not.
I will take some pics tomorrow in the daylight and share more.
Bill

I love the sky over the mountains! That is so awesome! It actually looks like wispy clouds.
