From
wikipedia
"Until recently, factories were all state owned and under the supervision of the China National Native Produce & Animal Byproducts Import & Export company (CNNP), Yunnan Branch. Kunming Tea Factory, Menghai Tea Factory, Pu'er Tea Factory and Xiaguan Tea Factory are the most notable of these state owned factories. While CNNP still operates today, few factories are state-owned, and CNNP contracts out many productions to privately owned factories."

Dragon Pole - Menghai Dayi Pu-erh Tea 2009 Ripe
14+1 Beeng (box set)
This ripe Dragon is so good. No smoke, Not bitter. Not dry. Smooth. Deep coloured. Indeed premium category. At the shop, I asked them to let me compare an older ripe puerh of the same price with it.
They compared it with a 5 years old Ripe (can't remember the recipe), but this dragon even though 2009 (dec production - less than 1 year aging), is much better in terms of flavor, aroma and smoothness.

Hi,
I did a search on eBay and they only had two vendors
selling it.

It was kinda high US $29.99 So I only bought one.

At the shop I bought, if I were to buy 1 beeng it will cost me US30, but if i were to buy one box (14+1), per beeng will cost me US18.24
Since I liked it, I went ahead and bought one box.

I used credit card to purchase. So there should be 2% bank charges to the shop. With the pricing of such, I think tea biz profit margin seems quite high. From USD30 -> USD18.24
USD18.24, the shop still need to
-minus 2% bank charges
-give the staff commission (they didn't tell me how much)
-make profit

Tiger has stronger taste, nicer aroma and better kick. Not so smooth yet as it is still new but drinkable. Not smoky.
I compared tiger with Bada 2010, Bada is good also but lighter taste. I would drink Bada now but keep tiger for aging.
So if you prefer strong... go for Tiger. I would think tiger is good for aging too cause i was told stronger quality young raw 'should' age better.

Just bought this...
Xia Guan Golden Ribbon Puer Tea 2010 357g Raw
Usually I don't fancy young xia guan puerh cause it tend to have their signature smokiness. But this Golden Ribbon
XY is made from a different person / modified formula. There is no smokiness and it is easy to drink being a young raw.
