Re: cory Lum (bonjiri) chadogu
hi all !
greetings from japan... getting cooler here, can't wait for aki/Koyo (autumn) season. will be my first experience in japan, staying thru the full season. can't wait !
here's a couple new pieces !
used this white slip called 'shiro gesho'.
has some sort of flux inside. nice to spray and even more fun to use the cool brushes ! its sprayed and then brushed onto a double walled yunomi (teacup)
second, piece thrown and carved winter chawan.
benishino (easy shino) glaze. sort of a hybrid nezumi gray shino, reduction fired.
cheers
cory

Very Cory-like!
Lovely, really like #2, Cory. Hot Koudei.
So, are we seeing more Japanese influence given your longer and longer stay in Japan?

i'll likely spray a white slip on the black clay and fire w/ this cool tanseiji (CELADON) in cone 10 reduction.

couple new pieces from the kiln
sorry just finished a large photo project
and new pieces added to my etsy store. more coming !
lately been inspired by the azure blue sunsets and clear and chilly winter skies of japan.
glad to have some new ceramic pieces
azure blue chawan with obsidian like black clay. rings like porcelain.
nicely balanced in the hands.
thanks !
