Thanks V!
Yes - as I ordered mine, I remembered yours and also your stand of wood you had made. Fortunately, mine fits on the ceramic stand I have.
Cory - gorgeous!
I'm always checking to see your new works. Love 'em!
Cheers.

Here are two more shots of that new dark "Enso" chawan. I was able to capture the enso "brush stroke" this time that is both inside and outside the chawan (two "enso's" actually - one in, one out). I really like the form of the circular brush stroke - its beginning, its ending. This is a great bowl, even tho a tad small for me, and also mass produced rather than artisan wrought.
This image has some issues - but I think you can see the inner "enso" better.
May you find some appreciation, some ease, and perhaps even some joy in the life cycle of your beginnings and endings this day.
Cheers.

Here's some matcha.
Matcha miyabi in fact - which I found out about from you.
Thank you! It's yumm-a-licious!
Cheers.

In order of top fav 1st,
I like yuuki's Tenkei Hana, Ippodo's Wakamatsu and also Horai,
then Den's Miyabi, and finally Wako.
And I will qualify all this by saying there is not of a stretch between each of these, they're all pretty close in terms of how much I like them.
I give the edge to yuuki because it is organic.
Cheers.

Thanks for the rundown! I am liking the Sakuraka from there pretty well, but I have been wanting to try the Tenkei Hana next time.

Moderately (moderatorly?) reliable, yes.

I love this piece and the accompanying kyusu very much... they were my first, they were touched by the loving hands of friends before they came to me, and they are lovely and functional. Crazy-good crackling!

Beautiful Hagi KMW!
When I first saw the photo - I thought, "that matcha looks awfully odd, hmmm lets read and see what it says..."
Iced! I've never tried that. How is it? How do you prepare it? Whisk then ice?
This morning, Fornell, Horai, and the 2nd photo is me making an attempt at long exposure while whisking. Didn't work. But I'm posting anyway. I've been wanting to evolve my image capturing, but not sure how.
Cheers.
