Hello, everyone, I've been lurking around the forums for a while now but this is my first post at TeaChat! I just received my first piece by Seigan and I was so excited the moment I first found it, I actually wanted to post sooner, but didn't dare before the ebay auction was over- I was afraid someone would snap up this gorgeous chawan before I could My apologies for the crappy phone pics, don't have a real digital camera yet

Chapter, I think I have a sibling of your chawan; mine is the same glaze and bowl shape but with diagonal lines instead of vertical. They're lovely!

Wonderful chawan Chapter ! I love this glaze. I happen to have a guinomi version. That's maybe the most beautiful work of Yamane Seigan I have seen.

Alright... my lame pictures of my sibling to Chapter's chawan and David's guinomi! Minus matcha, because I wasn't feeling matcha today (gasp!), and located on my oh-so-uninspiring table [that I need to replace].





The crackling is absolutely gorgeous; it is, for now, absolutely luminous in the sunshine, though my ability to capture it is poor:


I'm quite fond of the way the glaze formed a crescent moon in the bottom:


And... it can be friends with other pieces.
