Re: What Oolong are You Drinking Right Now?
That is a good point. Before getting into tea I basically only drank water, so I never thought about that one.

I just finished the last of my Pu Ti Cha from TeaSpring. Too bad that they are sold out...

Washing the taste of some Jasmine out of my mouth--special request from a colleague, and thank goodness I only have a little of it left, never want to buy it again--drinking Huang Jin Gui from Norbu. Sweet, floral, delicate, sunny, and doing very nicely as a gongfu cha instead of the more usual thermos brewing. Unfortunately this was sold out when I made my most recent order.

I'm currently drinking a 1994 Shuixian that I recently reroasted. It's aged spectacularly and is very soothing on a chilly morning.

It is very nice stuff. I was lucky enough to buy out a tea shop that had a large quantity of different aged Wuyi Wulongs. He had been storing it for years because nobody in Guilin wanted to drink it. He bought it thinking it would be something to sell and he never sold any.

Congrats on your new first gaiwan Entropy. You will have to let us know how it goes.
I'm having some tie luo han from jing tea shop today. It came out stronger today for some reason. Maybe its because I'm getting to the bottom of the tin

Re: What Oolong are You Drinking Right Now?
Guilin tea drinkers tend to follow trends. This year Tie Guanyin is considered fashionable, so everybody drinks that. When Puer was the thing, I couldn't sell Tie Guanyin and now nobody will touch Puer. Well, not nobody, but very few people. So, when the Puer market fell out, a lot of the tea shops closed because all they had was puer in their inventory. Every time a new trend comes by a lot of tea shops go out of business and I buy out their inventory. That is how I got the old Wuyi Teas. Because of my website I have a fairly large diversity, so I can weather out the trends. I think Dark Tea is going to be the next big thing in Guilin. We'll see.edkrueger wrote:Wuyi isn't popular in Guilin?
