Hi Noahnoir,
Thank you for your compliment.
As iannon says, most are from artisans who participate here on TC.
I really like the work of Cory Lum (aka - bonjiri), Michael Coffee (aka - shyrabbit), and Robert Fornell (aka - Ronin Ceramurai).
I also like Jay Strommen found on eBay.
You might also check out Etse, an artisan's site, and use search terms chawan, or tea bowl.
Then just follow your interest.
I hope you'll feel free to share with us here whatever chawan you choose.
Cheers!

Thanks Seeker, this chawan is from Yoshida Shuuen, kiln : Gyoku-kou Zan.Seeker wrote:Awesome David, love those shots, that chawan!
I got Mago study photos. He told me this :
YOSHIDA SHUUEN:
October, 1940 : Born in Hagi.
When he was 15 years old, he studied under teens-KYUSETSU MIWA (next holder-of-an-important-intangible-cultural-property/living national treasure) MIWA KYUUWA.
He was invited at the time of inauguration of "TENPO-ZAN kiln", and exerted himself for technical guidance, and the back brang up a young potter.
He established GYOKKOUZAN kiln independently to Hagi Tamae in 1968.
In November, 1987, he passed away in an accident when he was 46 years old.
TENPO-ZAN kiln has gone bankrupt 2 years ago.
Deceased MIWA KYUUWA is DEISHI's friend for a living national treasure.
I purchased it in a shop in Nara at a very interesting price at a time I knew nothing about Hagi. Love at first sight.

Thank you David for sharing the lineage and history of your wonderful Hagi chawan with us.
Very cool.
It is nice to hear of the humanity attached to your chawan, and I feel a sense of reverence deep within me as I read it.
