after a house renovation, they now have a cabinet of their own... so far its a nice 60-65% constant stable humidity level all day... so my dehumidifier is not needed for now... im actually thinking of putting a tub of water in to raise the humidity a bit

top row and second row boxes are all raw tea cakes...
the boxes below are mostly raw except for 3 boxes with ripe tea cakes...
will try to post pics of whats inside soon
Nice cabinet. Looking fwd for the photos of wat is inside the boxes :)

Btw, I think you have to be careful about the weight on each shelf. From the picture, your top row wood is showing it is curving downwards. When it is brand new, it may hold it... but after sometime it may not. So better don't put any glass items in the cabinet, just in case it collapse.

thanks for the comment and concern...

ive actually noticed that slight bend... the top one has a bigger bend than the second level cause the top shelf is an adjustable one whereas the second level is permanently fixed... it was not really intended for tea storage in the first place as its supposed to be for empty luggage's. ill have to rearrange the boxes to level out the weight, and will probably ask the contractor to add more support for the first level.

Hi Odarwin,
Have you started enjoying your 7572 (2003) yet? I have been drinking from my collection of Dayi 7572 (2003) the last few years and not surprisingly it gets better as it ages. The 7572 (2003) has a rich Menghai taste and is now distinctly smooth, somewhat creamy, sweet and finishes with a very satisfying mouth-feel.

hi ycleong,

i havent tried the 2003 7572 yet, well at least for that tong... i did have one cake, but its all gone already. i did not have time to appreciate is as it aged cause i think it took only a few months from start to finish. but as far as i can remember, its smooth and creamy, thou there was still a bit of wo dui taste... to be honest, i dont expect much from ripe pu, as long as they are clean tasting then im happy with it already...

Why store your own cooked puerh? You're much better off buying some wet stored ones.

I have tasted some wet stored ripe puer from Hong Kong and for some reasons I prefer ripe puer stored in Malaysia. I suppose taste can be quite personal.

this tong, along with the other ripe was one of my earlier purchase, right now if i had the chance, id like to trade it for a single cake of 90s 8582... About the wet stored raw, it depends on the condition, if its hk storage then i dont mind, but if its seriously wet stored then ill pass

Oh, I mean wet stored cooked. Raw is a different question entirely, but I find wet stored cooked to be much more interesting than dry stored ones.

2005 Ripe - By Tacha - 250g

This is custom made by Tacha. 2nd time they did it. This is their highest grade ripe. They claimed it has 'nai xiang', and if i interpret it correctly it is coconut/milk flavor.

I tried it. It is quite nice compared to my usual big factory ripe. Smells good too.

Just received another bing of the Mansai and a Bangwai from EoT. This brings the total to 2x Mansai, 1x Manmai, 1x Bangwai. Just the right amount, IMO.

This'll probably be the last of my 2010 Puerh buying, saving up for 2011, and of course stuff with a bit more age.
