Congrats to that pieces Ambrose.
This shiboridashi is exactly what I have in mind and what I'd like to get from Petr. And with one or two fitting pots it would be even greater. Unfortunately everywhere I checked it is not available.
Will continue in my search :)

Bashful Forrest likes Merri Poppets, but Merri Poppets likes Forrest's new Seigan Oribe Guinomi. So, she hangs and is nice around to Forrest hoping to be gifted.

This is a great pic and a very nice kyusu! I've been thinking of grabbing one of these myself, I assume yours came from Hojo? Have you actually used it yet and does it work well with sencha? I always thought of Shigaraki as being fairly heavy but maybe that's not true with these kyusu? Thanks.

I didn't know Seigan worked with the Oribe style. He seems to be very diverse. He's also a very skilled martial artist from what I've been told. Karate and pottery, not a combination I would have thought of but when I think about it, it does make sense. Freedom of mind, freedom of movement, no set limits.

Chip, do you use these guinomi for sake or as small teacups?

Thanks Britt! Yeah from Hojo. No, I don't notice a weight factor at all. I have used it only a couple of times so far, and not with sencha. Funny you are the second person to ask me that this week!

This was the first oribe of his I had ever bid on, though I have seen others. I hope he does some more experimental work with it and comes up with something wild ...

I personally do not drink alcoholic beverages (but I use a 5th of bourbon in cooking daily  ), so tea it is. One guinomi is reserved for sake, but once you put sake into a Hagi guinomi, that smell is never coming out.

Since the weight is normal I think it would work well with sencha.

Thanks for the answers.
