Nothing like some Explosions in the Sky to drink some tea to!

Also check out the Album Leaf, Mogwai, & This Will Destroy You (if you like a little more intensity)

I am not advanced enough to feel anything from This Will Destroy You's noodling. I can only manage direct force from EITS or Mono in the city.

Another One: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WRnZU8eBF0 (Perhaps my favorite)
I always tend to listen to deep melancholic music that evokes a lot of emotion in me. City and Colour is the epitome of sadness to me. When I'm drinking tea it seems to empower and heighten all these feelings.

You know I have never listened to City & Colour before. I have been wanting to, as I have heard nothing but great things, but for some reason I just never got around to it. I must say though, you have me rather addicted to some of his songs at the moment!
Thanks for the recommendation..

These songs are quite relaxing while you're drinking tea and browsing the internet. I enjoy them :] And in my opinion.. 16 Bit did Toxic a lot better than Brittany Spears.
16 Bit- Toxic

Telepopmusik -Don't Look Back

(Any of Telepopmusik's stuff is nice)

Listening to Nest's moonbow now while waiting for some Wu Yi tea to be brewed. Nice combo. Deep and soothing, both very earthy (yin and yang in balance).

Xell wrote:Maybe a bit strange to listen to this during Japanese tea session, but i do enjoy some Celtic or Irish folk music and songs. Something like this Altan - Uncle Rat
Even Celtic rock![]()
Cruachan - Voice of Morrigan
Missed this post. The rat is so funny

They are more celtic/folk metal than rock, but genre labels here are pretty much meaningless. 8 piece outfit, violin, bagpipe, flute, hurdy gurdy etc....and they sing in Gaulish

Trout Mask Replica and Menghai golden needle shu this afternoon. Had more time in the house on my own recently meaning I can sit back and enjoy the music I love which drives other people up the walls. In the process of getting my deck and vinyl down from the loft, here's hoping the neighbours are out too.

Ou, how did I miss this topic? The only thing I'm more passionate about (and spend more money on) than tea is music!
Let's see...I'm currently enjoying the new Sigur Rós album Valtari with a cup of YM.
Some other excellent, relaxing album choices would be:
-Eingya by Helios
-Seven Tales of The North Wind by Rhian Sheehan
-Famous Places by Goldmund
-Riceboy Sleeps by Riceboy Sleeps
-...And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness by Ólafur Arnalds
-Lumiere by Dustin O'Halloran
-Chasing After Shadows...Living With The Ghosts by Hammock
All those albums are worth checking out and very enjoyable.
I'd post youtube links to individual songs but there's that whole "any links from a new member will be deleted" thing.

While drinking some Japanese teas, I try to be zen-like and avoid all music altogether.
Otherwise, I try to be one with the tea as I watch TV. It's a meditative exercise that lets me concentrate on my inner self while watching Shark Tank or Wipeout.

I'm in love...hmm, Mina: Il cielo in una stanza
Her voice, her face, absolute female perfection to me.
