Package has arrived in Australia.
Just have to wait to get home from work to open it! Good turnaround time for priority mail.

....and safely home, in a crummy cellphone pic:

Mostly Petr by debunix, on Flickr
The little pot that doesn't match the others is from my 2nd EMS package received the same day.
(The little Shibo took a wrong turn and will be heading out again soon.)

More photos, indeed. Can't do them properly tonight, but I wanted to shoot them once all together because they won't all be staying--some are gifts, and one wrong-way Corrigan has to be reshipped to the person waiting for it.

It's already packed again for shipping tomorrow. It is cooler in person than in photos, so I can better see how eager you must be to receive it.

Re: TA SO 3 Petr Novák Wood Fired Shino Collection
What does Yaki mean?
Suddenly realized I see it all over the place here and elsewhere, but it's not exactly clear what it means, and google translate is not helping. Does it mean simply ceramic or pottery, or does it imply that the pottery is wood-fired?

Yaki is a Japanese term, 焼き, coming from the verb "yaku," which means to bake, grill, scorch, burn.
Yaki is used in Japanese as a cooking term for grilled items (tori-yaki is grilled chiken, niku-yaki is grilled meat, etc). It's also a suffix that means "-ware," so it'll show up in hagi-yaki, bizen-yaki, etc.
But just to stave off the inevitable question... people don't say 'cha-yaki'
Meanwhile, that's great news, Chip! Did it come today on Saturday? Maybe I can still hold out hope....

Yes, arrived today! Oddly, the Priority package required a signature. The carrier could not explain why either.
Anyway, all arrived in perfect order I think. A kyusu (precocious ... yet adorable little fellah!), shib, yuza, and a few cups. I am really intrigued with the bare, iron-rich clay interiors, cannot wait to see what will happen in the brewing!
Also a previously, special-ordered "TeaBark" Kyusu was a stowaway!
