Indeed, the ban has been confirmed. Does Ilya know that (as of last night, anyway) I could still post in the big chat window? If we're gonna ban people, we might as well go the distance.

I did send Christine an e-mail that included that tidbit of info.

Oy...banishment...for a week. Got to say, it's a slightly awkward position seeing as I think most of us here have pushed the limits of decency at one time or another...but the boards and the IM really aren't a great place to be trading phallic euphemisms and other such tomfoolery. On the bright side, now that there's a temporary ban function, it'll be a little easier to nip the nonsense of people like JD and that one dude who took theoretical BDSM to new heights. Didn't Brandon boot him from the IRC?

You are thinking of uniformsquare. He hardly ever posts on the forum or in the IM, he is a character unique to #teachat.

Banning from a tea forum IM? Jeez...

Why so serious?

We may as well take the banning in stride. So many members (and mods) say far worse there than scruffy's comment that we're all gonna be spending a lot of time in the penalty box.

It doesn't mean we love you any less, Scruff! Don't feel excessive selfconsciousness and guilt. There's quite a few others of us who it could have been instead of you (like me, for one), so don't get too carried away apologizing!

Can't, oh, 99.999999999% of the world's male population say the same?

Mary, your percentage is actually incorrect.
99.999999999% is one in 100 000 000 000 which exceeds the earth population.

You seem to only be factoring in humans, which is blatant species-ism.
