It seems I've opened up a can of worms regarding Ten Ren and the negative sentiments many have about them. This started with my posting about a Tenfu TGY which no one here seems to have had. As Gingko said, they are much more highly regarded in China and the tea is often gifted. This may have something to do with the price and 'face', but, for me, I will gladly drink this tea as its quality is excellent.

This opens to a Da Hong Pao tea. It's the same company but a different tea that I don't see on their site.

Oooh yeah! That's a top pick of mine. Very feminine for a yancha.

Tried a bagged oolong from Choice Organics today.

I would not go out of my way for it, but if you have to drink a bagged oolong, I suppose you could do worse.

Yesterday was TeaMasters 2008 High Roast TGY. This is quickly becoming a favorite, especially on cold winter days (like the ones we've been having up here in MI).

This tea has excellent mouthfeel, good endurance, flavors of cacao/caramel, a plummy fruitiness, and great aftertaste!

Had the very same tea yesterday evening. It is great. Same quality than the 2005 version which I loved.

Zhi Lan Xiang purchased from a local shop here. Long twisted leaves, medium roast. Highly fragrant with an aroma of gardenia. Full throated floral flavor. Wet mouth with a slight drying on tongue. Many infusions with a clear flavor. The most floral of all Feng Huang teas I have tried. Delicious.

Tie Luo Han from China Cha Dao -

I really like this one. Roast and a nice array of layered flavors. Yum

My mouth is watering. What temp are you brewing it at?

At the moment, I'm finishing a session with TeaMasters OB Top Grade.
