yeah, i wonder if it's a new design/fad/concept, possibly unique to one artist or a handful of artists in Taiwan? i had never seen it before. i saw a few pots here and there in a couple of shops in Yingge (the famous ceramics area), but i didn't think to try to compare the bottoms of the pots from the different shops to see if they were made by the same person. There's not a stamp on the bottom of mine, but there is a signature along with a year (2014, iirc).bonescwa wrote:I like the shape. I wonder if the color has anything to do with it? If the pot were brown, the texture would have more of a bark appearance. If it were white, maybe more like cauliflower (). But in this color, the texture is... striking? Unnatural? Well, either way, definitely interesting.

and so you see, it is a thirsty pot begging for me to brew tea in it and pour water on it.
