A Very Special baozhong.

Zhi Lan Xiang purchased from a local shop here. Long twisted leaves, medium roast. Highly fragrant with an aroma of gardenia. Full throated floral flavor. Wet mouth with a slight drying on tongue. Many infusions with a clear flavor. The most floral of all Feng Huang teas I have tried. Delicious.

My mouth is watering. What temp are you brewing it at?

At the moment, I'm finishing a session with TeaMasters OB Top Grade.

I don't know what temp water I use. I bring to a boil. Then heat my pot and gear. Put leaves into pot. Empty everything else. Pour water from the kettle into the teapot. Dump the 1st brew. Wait a short while then pour water into teapot. 10-15 sec pour into cup. Sometimes I don't reheat water for 2-3 brews. Then bring it back up to near boil. This tea brews deliciously no matter what I do to it.

A friend made it for me for my birthday! The photo's do not do it justice.

It's perfect for baozhong because of the large diameter flat shape, the leaves just love sitting in there stretched out but because it's short still only ~90 ml.

I love my life.

Ah!! That's so nice! I was afraid that you would say it was from some local studio that none of us could get hold of But exclusively from friend, that makes me even more envious! And 90ml is a lovely size too!

Lovely desert eggy sweetness. 3rd brew hits the sweet spot. fantastic tea.

Just broke into my second 100g bag of 'Subtropical Forest' Bao Zhong from TeaMasters. Heavenly stuff. Anyone else tried this wonderful green oolong?
