Received my Hashimoto Daisuke Tenmoku yunomi today. It's gorgeous. I never thought I'd see such a nice tenmoku piece and be able to afford it.
It's 200ml, so it's a good size for when I'm brewing larger amounts of sencha in my bigger kyusu.
Inside looks like a wormhole.
Haven't seen a post in here since...September it looks like. Figured I'd try to spice things up a bit.

Thanks everyone,
I love to mix and match different wares, they're such pleasant companions to my daily morning aged ripe pu-erh and tie guan yin (black teapot), not forgetting pastries of course
What are your favourite teas? Looking forward to pictures of your tea sessions and wares!

First post from a longtime lurker, got a new cup this week by Shawn from greenwood studio (which I discovered from this forum). I'm loving the crackle and pinholes.

Love the cup qorquet. I've see that one on his etsy.
The crazing against the white glaze contrasts so well with the rough clay foot and the inside.

Duuuude I was waiting to see if someone here had bought those two! I saw they were sold and I thought to myself "Man I hope that was someone from Teachat so they post pictures..."
I was debating between one of those blue-er ones and the silvery one I got. In the end I chose the silver one, but those blue ones are absolutely gorgeous too. Glad you got them, pizza. Great birthday present indeed. Make sure to thank your GF.
Edit: Does all of AN's stock go to Teachatters? It sure seems like it...

hahaha.
wow, those tenmoku glazes are really cool. any chance of a full res shot in sunlight from either of you?
bone china set from liuli (taiwan). the teapot is huge (750mL) -- i've only used it a few times for western-style brewing with a lot of people over. i use the teacups all the time though, and their saucers are neato.
160mL cups. they feel really nice in the hand. cool texture.
also the red eye reminds me of HAL
i can't let you stop drinking that tea, dave...

Frisbeehead: Ya, I think I have a small preference for these but would have been delighted with the ones you went with too. Really the only ones that didn't wow me at first glance are the ones still in stock(style 3). Although now that I've seen these in person I think those would look better than I initially thought as it's so hard to capture their luster in a photo.
Pedant: So that's why I was thinking monolith when I saw that cup in the kyusu thread

Like the saucers too. I ended up shooting the cup photos on my nexus 4 which has a not so great camera as it was all I have handy atm. If I've got access to a real camera and sunshine this week I'll give you something decent though. The sunshine might be a problem though...

Beautiful tenmoku cups--the sort that must be very lively to hold, as slight shifts in the light while you drink will make that glaze come alive in the hand. Sweet!
I'm not sure how I'd feel about having my tea give me the eye, however, though that ruby-red is quite lovely along with the white-on-white decorations.
