Re: Ode to the Kyusu
Woe, really nice, Alex. #5 was almost my first pick as I really like the tall shape.
Re: Ode to the Kyusu
I thought I'd do a hand shot to give it some context. I was surprised by the size at first....but in a good way. Makes it seem super special. And this pot operates great full up. In fact I made a lovely cup of sencha for me and the wife this morning. The 1st and 2nd brew split between two 180ml cups. Perfect serving.
You went with the right pot Chip. Although this pot is ace, your choice was a better companion to your other Gisui. Although I'd imagine this was exactly your thinking?

That's lovely! Nice to see another hand shot as well. Really gives a good gauge of colour and size.

Not yet. I'm waiting on the postal service. This kyusu has a direct wall-filter, my first one. So I'm excited to try it out.Alex wrote:That's lovely! Nice to see another hand shot as well. Really gives a good gauge of colour and size.

A series of lovely pots today. I was very attracted to the tall/egg-shaped gisui--that would have been my #2 choice.
And another lovely Junzo. I need to come up with an excuse to get one of those.

Pig hog, having trouble viewing these on my smart phone ...
peacock, what is your impression of the seemingly severe mogake scarring? I found this quite intriguing.
Magnificent snow-Gisui, pizzapotamus!
