I've been watching Cory's etsy site for quite a while now, envisioning a myteriously dark tea cup that would someday appear and just feel 'right'. Then I saw this one

That felt so like a beach, with shells and jellyfish thrown up by the water


And ridges of sand carved by the waves


and only managed a week or so of resistance before I caved.

vase form, a take off from a recent demostration daven hee gave on twisting carved forms on wheel
using a spring i stretched to carved sides. fun. need to experiment more, a lot of cutting thru though
