Very nicely done blairswhitaker! Break one, buy 3! But in the future just buy more, no need to break any to justify the purchase ...
A new Hagi artisan, thanks for sharing it with us, Victoria.

no reason to be "green" with envy, because I now have a cup to share.
briny, umami, sencha goodness.
A neighbor joined me and we had a fine time enjoying some afternoon SoCal sun and breaking in these rugged but beautiful Kashun pieces.

Nice set up, congratulations! I am definitely coming down to SD now!
In fact I can be there in an hour and a half. hehehe

So I met up with our Moderator and his wife yesterday, and while I had intended to take lots of pictures there were so many pieces being shared that I was too busy looking. But I could not miss the chance for this picture, a Choun family shot.

Good to see the photo came out OK in that horrid lighting.
It was great meeting Adam and sharing lots of Hagi over sushi and genmaicha. He is as nice in person as he is on the forum.

Here is a beautiful example of a Shira Hagi yunomi by Ohtani Masahiko.
I purchased this yunomi a few weeks ago and have been using it almost every day. You can see the intricate crazing that has been happening in the glaze with use. Very cool!

Very nice tmorten of a Hagi from a lesser known artisan here in the USA.
A matter of semantics, they usually say crackling for desirable crackling and crazing for les desirable.

Nice piece tmorten, I love seeing the changes taking place.
I've been using one Hagi in the morning now for a couple of
weeks and can really see the change. Usually I have so many
in rotation. It's nice to concentrate on one at a time.

nice pics, have recently been initiated into the hagi club I have been loving my pieces, it's great to watch ceramic ware evolve with use. I love tea ware that is "alive" and hagi certainly conveys the feeling.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! Also, thanks Chip for the clarification between crazing and crackling. It is really amazing to watch the changes that take place with Hagi. The white glazes also seem to change extremely quick. After just one or two uses the crackling was present inside the cup! It is now in the stage where the crackles are beginning to appear on the outside of the cup. This is my first Hagi yunomi and I am hooked! I just ordered another awesome yunomi the other day by Mukuhara Kashun.

I actually just purchased it a couple days ago, so I should be receiving it mid-week or so. I will definitely post pics when I get it.

Thanks Brad and IPT! The top three are Seigan, the bottom three are Deishi with a small Seigan Split Ice in front.
