Greetings TeaAficionados to TeaDay. Please come in and share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday more responders chose greens as their fave tea for the month of June. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. I revisit this topic periodically because we have new members and our practices change. The average size of your steeps is how much? Has it increased or decreased lately. Please share ...
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Dan Cong - 140 ml
Anxi Tie Guan Yin - 160 ml
Wuyi Yan Cha - 170 ml
Not sure how U.S. Fluid Ounces relate to Imperial Fluid Ounces (though I know they are different) but I put 1-2
Not changed much recently, because I am using the same teapots

I've been to Oswego before... spent 6-7 years in Ithaca, but first time I've heard of Oswego tea... then again, I never visited the Moosewood while in Ithaca, so who knows.
My steeps are usually on the order of 4-5 oz, because most of my pots are 4-5 oz (gaiwans, too).
More oolongs in my cup this week. . .

I voted >7 oz but I'm not really sure...I have pots with 200, 400 and 600 ml capacity respectively that get used equally much.
Also a gaiwan I think is slightly above 60 ml.
Most blacks and some oolongs I steep directly in the cup though, and I have only a rough idea of the capacity of most of my cups.
Today' first tea is some old and rather desiccated TGY I'm trying to finish, another one of the teas I've brought to work. Anything is better than teabags.

Well I can't really say a finite number because most of my teawares range from ~3.5oz - 16oz. Plus I've been making iced tea in a 42oz jar. In the end I just voted 5 because that's just over the size of my favorite yixing pot.
As far as the sizes changing, mine sizes have definitely gotten smaller from last year, which was about 6-8 oz.

I said four, though the variation can be dramatic.
This is a modestly roasty Dong Ding oolong that Gingko was kind enough to share with me. The first infusion nicely balanced the taste of green oolong and the taste of roasted oolong. The teapot holds just about 4 oz.

I voted for more than three. The cup I usually use holds 6 oz when filled to the brim. Lately I've been using more leaf and less water, but going for multiple steeps.
I would say I'm getting an average of 4 - 5 oz (118 - 147 ml) per cup.

Since discovering Adagio a few years ago, my regular brewing vessel has mostly been the IngenuiTea, which holds 16 oz. That's still what I use at the office about half the time, alternating (depending on the tea/day/mood) with a little 7-oz pot.
First brew at home in the A.M. is now is a glass TeaPosy pot that holds about 30 oz, enough to make a good cup of hot, then the rest goes in my huge thermos-of-ice to take to work. Those leaves/that pot gets steeped at least one more time in the evening.
So far today, 2nd flush Darjeeling (Makaibari??, sorry I don't have the tin here) blended with some Green Violet from letsdotea.

Wow what a coincidence I just decided to cut my cup size way, way back to 3.5 oz cups instead of 11-12oz cups. I didn't have any tea yesterday and sadly considered giving it up
. I think lately the caffeine has been causing me anxiety issues lately and because I didn't ever have anxiety before I started drinking "caffeine" I wanted to take a break and it seems to help.
I just can't leave tea though
so Im cutting the amount I drink a day from 35-40oz a day to about 10oz and see how it goes.

I guess a bit less than 100z approx. 3l. WHAT CAN I SAY I LIKE MASALA CHAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!
In my serious mode I make around 8oz, 240ml for nearly every tea, the size of nearly all of our mugs. Fo greeny stuff I make it around 2-3oz, 60-90ml
Started my day with, yup, you guessed it FF Darjeeling Risheehat 09. Still eyeballing all my unopened packages. I just might go crazy and jump off the balcony into the forest full of random charcoal grills and chairs and glass... Plus the lid to my large saucepan, thanks roomie(when you get rid of food thats been in the fridge for over 3 months you don't have dump the lid and food together into a bottomless pit full of sharp pointy objects? am I right?)
Right now my first 50oz of masala chai, with some almond milk, yuk. HAHAH jk
Busy day until late this afternoon, then chillage. Everyone drink 1000 yotta liters of tea today! And have fun!
