Good TeaDay everyone. Please come on in and share what is your cup today.

Yesterday we discussed steep sizes. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I couldn't answer the poll because all of my vacations this year have been for the express purpose of buying tea and teaware.

But I always bring at least a little bit of tea along as well.

My tea travels with me, never vacation w/o it.

Usually when I am away from home for a few days, I take a little porcelain kyuusu or/and a houhin.

Kirameki shincha this morning.

I wing it. Then again, I haven't been traveling like I used to ... so really haven't traveled much since having gotten into tea. Perhaps I would attempt to bring tea with me... I'm just enjoying all the time at home :D

This morning, having som p-- nope, still oolongs...

Hmm...I go for whatever tea comes my way, within limits. I wouldn't bring my own tea or teaware since I absolutely hate lugging stuff around and prefer to keep my baggage to an absoulte minimum.

Then again I haven't been out of the country in seven or eight years

Began my teaday with a cup of Golden Nepal...and then I remembered I was out of milk. Dang.

Depending on the trip, I'll take tea with me, so it goes both ways for me. I couldn't answer this poll.

When traveling here in the States, the tea goes with me. Usually the best the hotel will offer is herbal or Lipton's. Ack. The tea goes and the teaware goes with me.

Now back when I had $$ and traveled to Canada, to Ireland, to England, I didn't take tea because shopping for tea there was always part of the adventure! :D

lately i have vacationed and visited with friends and family. i used to bring my tea with me. but upon the last few tours with my f&f i have discovered that my tea gifts are seldom used by them. so i get the biggest gift back when i go and visit with them...and don't have to bring tea with me LOL

I wing it if it's only a day or two away or if I'm traveling very far, like across the country to my daughter's. If it's a few days and fairly local, I will take a baggie of tea and some t-sacs.

No tea yet because I had to be here at work early, but soon I'll have some Yunnan in my cup.

I bring a small selection of tea and a teapot with me. When I go up to Vermont for my 8-day school residency, I also bring my electric kettle.

Started the day nicely with a cup of Nilgiri Blue from ToT.

Tea comes with me, and I go to tea. As people can most likely tell from my postings, I love discovering new tea houses away from home. My tea-making kit and travel electric kettle (complete with universal adapters) are always in the suitcase.

I woke up way too early this morning, all stressed out about getting ready for the weekend (and family members, ahem!)... got lots done but now it's time for Yunnan Black Gold from Tillerman Tea. Need something strong and rich indeed! Revive us again... mmm this is mellow too and does the trick, thank you.

I'm going to Seattle in September. I'll hopefully be hitting up several tea shops, so I'll be getting some as I wander.
I voted I'll take some with me. I'm taking the train to Seattle, and I don't want to get stuck with no tea, or bad tea.
I don't think I'll bring loose tea with me though, I'm pretty sure that would be difficult do make on a train.

This morning - A bagged sencha I found at the health food store yesterday - not too shabby :)

EDIT: I posted a topic in TeaMap, I was wondering if anyone might recommend a tea shop or two in the Seattle area, preferably downtown. Thanks!
