Sunday TeaRoom 7/05/09 Free for all?

by Chip » Jul 5th, '09, 01:37

Greetings TeaFans and welcome to a TeaRoom TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today ... all day.

Yesterday respnders indicated what tea set off fireworks for them on Independence Day. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaRoom topic is ... tea and whatever else you want to discuss. Enjoy.

I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I enjoy iced tea once every 5 to 6 years. The closest I come normally is the powdered sencha that I enjoyed yesterday.

I rarely drink iced tea. Perhaps three or four times a year.

Kirameki shincha this morning.

I haven't made any iced tea so far this summer, and now that the recent heat wave appears to be on the wane, there's little chance I will.

Enjoying some Dragon Well while perusing various sites for new batches of tea.

Not perusing anything quite yet, but I want to find a nice-looking tray for my Chinese/japanese style teaware....my glass pitcher and tiny Imperial yellow cups don't look so good on a tray with a Sixties deodorant ad facsimile on it. :D

Perhaps laquer is the way to go...or dark wood, at least.

Having the last of my Funalliance Snow Flake dancong before me.

I rarely ever make iced tea. I have it mostly when I go elsewhere.

This morning, oolongs as usual...!

Wow... I need to come up with something more exciting... :D

Hot tea today, the heat wave is over for now here. But I have been having both lately. Been making iced tea from a green tea flavored with Damascus rose and mango, quite nice.

Having Tai Ping Hou Kui now. Really loving this tea.

Bi lo chun with some raspberries from the garden today.

I think I've made ice tea once in my life, I should probably give it a whirl again soon as summer seems to have come to Scotland for a change.

Iced tea, because the temps around here reach toward 106F/40C on a daily basis. We drink it by the gallon in our house--none of us drink soda, iced coffee drinks, or anything like that.

Always start the day with hot tea, though. Irish Breakfast this morning!

Mostly hot tea today and all days.

Sometimes cooling of later steeps with ice. It's been quite awhile since I made a whole pitcher of iced tea.

AliShan from CS this morning.

Have a nice day everyone!

Hot tea, all day. I'm at work, so just bagged tea. Can't wait to get home, I got a Floating Leaves delivery Friday and have yet to crack into it.

Luckily I'm on an unlocked computer at work so I can access TeaChat!!

Hot tea.

I do drink a lot of iced tea when others make it but rarely do I want any badly enough to make it myself.

Oolong formosa this morning

It's supposed to be close to 100 degrees today, so I think I will be drinking mostly iced tea, although I almost always have hot tea in the morning.

 I have long sensed peeps read the poll and did not read my OP. I just threw the poll in today, but it is open discussion today!

I truly enjoy iced tea, but seem to enjoy hot much more. Might have some iced today ... but will most definitely have more hot.

Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from O-Cha, going strong with a gram tea per ounce water. Quite good. SweeTea enjoyed her share while Wulong, Precious, Koi, and Gandalf just hung out at the TeaTable.
