Welcome everyone to ThéDay. Please stop in and share what is in your cup today.
Yesterday responders indicated overwhelmingly that they were still on their personal Tour de Thé in regards to Thé origin. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Tour de Thé continues. Today on your Tour de Thé, have you found your ThéType? In other words, do you focus on a single ThéType, or are you still ThéTouring all the different ThéTypes?
I am looking forward to sharing the ThéDay with everyone. "Bicycle race, bicycle race, all I wanna do is bicycle race" ... and drink Thé. (Queen)

At this point, I've had a pretty wide variety of teas, and I've enjoyed the journey thus far. I will probably continue enjoying a wide variety of teas, though I've admittedly focused on pu-erh from the purchasing standpoint. On the plus side, the pu-erh can just age while I go on enjoying other teas.
In fact, this morning, still sticking with oolongs... a high mountain variety.

Although I drink mostly Japanese greens, there is always room for teas from other origins.
Kirameki shincha in a few minutes. Perhaps the last session from 2009 but now that O-cha sells the non shincha version during the year (Ujibashi San no Ma), it is not as last years when I had to wait ten months for the next package)

Several years ago, I was sooo spread out, that it kinda stressed me out a bit. As much as I crave variety, I somehow discovered that toooo much variety can be a bad thing.
I found focus that I enjoyed with greens at that time. This has evolved from Chinese to Japanese. I really enjoyed Chinese greens tbh, and may go back there again, but I doubt to the degree I once was.
My focus may change over time, but focus is for me.
Began the TD with Kinari shincha from Maiko thanks to Tokyo B. Very good shincha, light, sweet, smooth. Too bad she is gone for another year. SweeTea demanded her share while Pyrit and Wulong competed for attention at the TeaTable.

I don't restrict myself to any one type of tea though my first love was and always will be the blacks. Partly because black tea with milk has the status of comfort food in my house.
But there are good teas to be had from all types.
This afternoon Ying De with a bit of Golden Nepal mixed in, for a slight bite.
Listening to Kraftwerk btw...

I have mostly arrived, because my favorites will always be blacks, but I am still willing to try and enjoy other types of teas.
I even tried a little bit of bottled Kombucha yesterday!
To me it tasted like fizzy wine that had gone bad. My DH loved it, though, and now wants to make his own.
So far today I've had Irish Breakfast, hot, and Masala Chai, cold. I've already been to India and Sri Lanka!
