Sal, I love that image. Very nicely done, color is superb!

My teaware destination is probably Japan, or Japanese inspired teaware, although I will occasionally stray to Chinese teaware.

Praise be for calibrated monitors. You and I are probably the only people seeing the same colors in that photo.

Thanks for sending me in the right direction!

Ha! probably true. It is to be hoped, though, with calibration, the largest number of people will be seeing it as close to correctly as possible.

Most of my teaware (mainly yixing-type pots and various gaiwan) come from China. Teaware, however, is not my focus. I already have more than I use, and I don't collect for show.

This morning, I am trying a sample of Adagio's coconut pouchong. . . . it has an interesting flavor, which I guess is the coconut? Hmmm......

Most of my pots are ... well, hmm. I have a couple hand-thrown/glazed pots from artisans here in the USA, both simple and formal porcelain pots imported from England, some glass/china pots that probably came from China, and a real yixing. Hmm.

Drinking an Assam blend this morning from a sample tin someone gave me. Majula Organic Breakfast Tea. It's not bad, just not very strong.

Mostly Japan and China...

No tea as of yet but when I get home will probably enjoy some Matsukaze Uji Matcha or Mr Aoki's single estate 2009 sencha from my new favourite UK tea company Lahloo Tea (http://www.lahlootea.co.uk)

Amazing stuff!

I am a little all over the Teaware map, spending more time in Japan for teaware for almost all pots and many cups. Chinese for mostly porcelain cups, Taiwan for some nice stuff, and good ole USA most recently.

Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from O-Cha, brewed up stronger and hotter than normal. SweeTea took notice of the change while Wulong, Gandalf, and Pyrit were casual observers today.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Definitely China. I use my gaiwan for pretty much everything. My teacup is very simple, no handle. I'm looking to get a Yixing teapot from zishateapot (once I get some extra tea-budget cash.)

This morning - Shu Pu from Menghai Tea Factory (via Yunnan sourcing on ebay.)
Still loving it!
