Teavana?

by Proinsias » Jul 16th, '09, 16:58

Teachat was running quite slow earlier. When I looked at the bottom bar of the browser it was trying to load something from Teavana.com. When I check my script blocker the sites listed for this forum are google analytics, teachat and teavana.

Is it just me or is that a little odd?

Interesting ...

I forwarded this to Ilya.

HA, maybe Adagio and Teavana have merged, in which case we will likely all be banned ...

I wouldn't worry about banning, apparently it just messes with your post count a little :D

My script-blocker is also showing a script from teavana.com running here. Odd indeed...

So a Teavana script is running on Teachat at the same time as it being invaded by spam and porn. Is that just a coincidence then?

So what did happen with Proinsias? I just noticed that he is listed as one of the newest members and has very few posts. Yet when I look up all his posts, it looks like they are all there.

I'll look into the spam/teavana issue, but we are in the midst of upgrading to a new version of the phpbb so we hope to resolve some of the problems shortly.

Proinsias, I'll try to see about getting your post count corrected.

So is this why we have the bad spam leaking in?
It's been wild. And now photos like the old days.
Yikes.

Not sure about the teavana link, but I suspect someone may have simply linked an image from their site. It seems to be gone now. The spam however is a bit more of a mystery.

I deleted the Scotty ...

Seriously, I did. Due to the ridiculous attack of the spam ... Proinsias replied to a spammer, and I happened to rid the forum of the Scott along with the Bhurmese, Russian, Nigerian, Chinese, Ugandan, Bolivian ... etc. 8)

Seriously though, enough of the spam already!!!!!!!!!!
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

Despite that suspiciously Polish name ... a cuteified bot, perhaps?
