This is my "go-to" pot for sencha. I love it...great pour, feels good, etc.

I have this little pot...it is sweet and won't break the bank.

(I got it because it was a bit smaller and glazed so I could brew anything in it...made it good for gyokuro, oolong, houjicha, whatever!)

I also bought the $8.95 pot that Den's had for a while (got it with samples for a total of $9.95, I think). I got it to take on vacation. It is a nice functional pot at a great price.

As for chawan, I got a chawan on ebay for $7.00 once. Look frequently.
Also www.etsy.com Search for tea bowl. Prices vary widely on etsy. Again check frequently.

Have fun shopping,

I second any of the $19 Den's pots. The one I have is my "go-to" pot for brewing whatever doesn't go well with my other pots. I use the Yutori more than any of my other tea pots and have successfully not broken it yet, knock on wood. I've dropped the lid a few times with no issue, and even removed the screen to clean it once and replaced it with no problems beyond having to rebend one of the sharp tips where it overlaps. It is a little on the heavy side compared to the better made kyusu, but it is a tough little pot that gets the job done. If I ever break mine, I would reorder it in a heartbeat.

Hard to go wrong with the $19 Den's kyusu-s. They are quite functional, glazed for easy cleaning and low maintenance, and bullet proof!!! The only downside maybe is they are a bit heavy.

But a very good inexpensive kyusu that should last decades.

and what about a good old teapot?

what i mean is a kyusu is made for multiple steep of japanese green tea right?

Then, if i wanted to make only 1 big pot (im guessing no japanese tea, but more like chinese tea or whatever (black tea may be)) of a tea, anything will be ok aslong as i go for 3-5 mins (depends on tea) and the right temp?

Or should i be looking for something special?

... well, not sure I am answering you, but my first kyusu, RIP, I used for any tea under the sun except flavored or highly aromatic (like Jasmine).

I would not do this with most of my better kyusu-s today, but you can. And since you said CHEAP, a multi purpose pot will save green for more tea!
