Are you looking for a lighter style (less roasted / oxidized), or a style with a bit more roasting / oxidation?

Do you care if the tea is actually genuine Anxi Tieguanyin, or just any tea of a similar style?

well i think i prefer the lighter styles, those are the ones i had before
but then again i never tasted a more roasted one

i think it would be good if they are genuine anxi tie guan yins

basically i would like to learn more about tie guan yin, the lighter ones but also the heavier ones

I've had a really good experience with James at Wan Ling UK: http://www.wanlingteahouse.co.uk/uk_tea ... -yin.shtml. Still working my way through samples. All their TGY are lightly oxidized. Also a big fan of Funalliance's 2009 King TGY. Just ordered more...

I think teacuppa.com has some ok TGY offerings, but shipping takes a long time unless you use one of their more expensive shipping methods.

I agree Teacuppa is very good. But the best I've had came from Jing Tea Shop:

I'm not a big fan of TGY, but if Seb's Anxi oolong is half as good as his Wuyi oolong, a big +1.

Oh they are, trust me. Last year's sampler blew me away, some of the best tea I've ever had. Got my basket filled right now with of all six the 2009 Anxi samples, ummm ... I gotta go.

Sorry CK, are you asking me? If so, yes, I ordered that sample. I ordered all the 2009 samples. Yikes. But the set from last year that was so amazing is still for sale:

Wow some amazing stuff at "Jing Tea Shop". (Of course not to be confused with "Jing", frustrating in a mildly irritating way that 2 good tea sources should have similar names)

Looking at their products (names and descriptions) makes me want to get some TGY to compare with Wan Ling's similar offerings which I love, but the competition grade Mao Xie sounds good value, and the Rou Gui seems to surface in Wuyi varietals, Dan Cong fragrances and Anxi varietals also.

I am spoiled for choice, but my budget is overspent, maybe for Xmas.

How's Adagio's?
(I like to buy from only a few vendors— Probably a habit I should break, but I'm just learnin'.)

I think Adagio's is a decent cuppa. I like to carry the TGY silk individuals with me for emergencies, so I always have those on hand.

Yes, I was asking you. :D Sorry about the confusion, as the one that I linked was the only other TQY beyond the sample set that you linked that I could find on their website. I was having too much fun looking around the Jing site and ended up having to close out of it before I made a purchase after all of them sounded so good.
