Hi everybody.
I am so excited to have found this forum! Finally someone who shares my passion for these plentiful flavours and beautiful ceremonies. I thought I knew my share about tea, until I found this place. Suddenly I found I was previously only in the hallway to the mansion of teas. A new door opens...
I haven't experimented much with brewing time etc, so I've got some "labwork" to do My favourite tea is definately matcha, both usucha and matcha latte, iced and hot (am I swearing in church?) I have not tried koicha yet, due to the lack of koicha tea available in this country. Other than that I have fallen completely for some japanese greens: sencha fukamushi and gyokuro. A shipment of pu ehr and oolong just arrived, so I will give them a try soon.
I will be reading through the old posts and enjoy the massive amount of information for a while. I hope I will be able to contribute with some helpful ideas one day.
Nice to meet you all!

Well come on in to our TeaMansion and sit a spell. Be sure to share what is in your cup on the TeaDay forum.
...oh, and drink what you like and like what you drink!

Welcome, It's nice to see that we've got a growing community of tea lovers here.
I think timers and thermometers are okay in the beginning, but you'll get a feel for how to do it without that stuff in time. Try not to get too caught up in the science of your tea making and your sessions can become much more enjoyable.
