Hello everyone,
I already asked for help on a few topics and posted a bit, without taking the time to introduce myself. This is really a great forum, and a gold mine of information.
I have been familiar with quality loose leaf tea for a few years, I was introduced to it by Teaism in Washington, DC, when I was in college. I only really started getting into tea more seriously in the last year, though. I moved to Vienna 1 year ago, Austria and there are quite a few interesting tea shops here.
Through Artee teashop in the last year I was introduced and started exploring Long Jing, Taiwanese high mountain oolongs, Bi Lu Chun, and the wonderful world of Sencha.
I also found a small Japanese teahouse here where you can sit and order Matcha and Sencha while perusing books on Japanese gardens or tea ceremony, or order tea ceremony sweets. It is very charming, and is always full.
I have now started ordering a bit on the internet, already had some high mountain oolongs sent from TeafromTaiwan, had an order of expensive oolongs and long jing from the TeaGallery, and am now waiting on Senchas and my first Gyokuro from O-cha.
The problem is I am interested in about all types of tea, had my first Pu Ehr the other day and am already thinking of putting in an order. And I have started thinking about getting some nice teaware. This is not a cheap interest, unfortunately!
Glad to have found this place (he said as he reached for his cup of Lishan oolong),
Miguel
Re: Hello!
Welcome! Yes loving too many teas can be a problem and expense!
But isn't it fun? And now you know, you are not alone!
Welcome & pour me some LiShan too please.

What is on order from O-Cha?
Chip -- I am anxiously waiting for some Fukamushi Sencha Supreme, Kagoshima Sencha Yutaka Midori, and Uji Kame-Jiru-Shi Gyokuro.

YM is a perennial fave sencha for me. Kame is my fave gyokuro.

Re: Hello!
Heh, I have not graduated to the Tsuri. I actually had it in my cart, but then I looked at all the shincha on hand, plus I rarely order gyokuro until later in the Autumn.olivierco wrote:Did you try the Tsuru Jiru Shi?Chip wrote:Kame is my fave gyokuro.
It is on my short list to try!
