Welcome everyone to another TeaDay. Please stop in and share what is in your cup today, all day.
Yesterday was more of a fun day on TeaDay as we discussed whether we ever imagined ourselves as a character in a novel or movie. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Fall is coming, but what was your best tea of the Summer 2009, though not necessarily your fave? Please share details, details, details.
I am looking forward to sharing our Summer's best on TeaDay. Bottoms up.

Re: Monday TeaDay 9/14/09 Best tea Summer 2009?
I'm not sure which Chinese it was, but it was probably a Chinese puerh or green tea. Certainly it was not Silver Needles which is the tea featured in this photo.

Definitely a Chinese tea (pu'erh), but no time for details!
Had a good initial session with the American Hao 0905 this morning. It's got some teeth to it! mmmmm, teeth.

Strangely, SN wasn't it for me either this summer. I had more White Symphony (and probably sencha) than SN, although Salsero's photo spurred me to make today SN day. And it's election day, as it happens. Off to vote now.Salsero wrote: Certainly it was not Silver Needles which is the tea featured in this photo.

Definitely Chinese, and definitely some pu!

After getting this beeng I kind of branched out and tried A LOT of other teas, but I kept going back to this.
I think Pu has become a definite focus of mine. Pu and greens. I really liked trying some senchas and shincha as well.
An excellent TeaSummer, no doubt.
On a more disturbing note, my son has become obsessed with The Wiggles, and they have now infected my brain.

I voted Japanese because I received a sample of Japanese Black this summer that was just awesome!
Irish Breakfast in my cup this morning.
We are still having 90+ degree temps here, I'm ready for some nice cool fall days.

How about "To have a tea party, we're gonna need a teapot."geeber1 wrote: "Hot Potato, Hot Potato ..."
My brain... my poor brain...

Not a particular tea, rather, a method: cold-brewing tea. Teas not suited to hot brewing yield a satisfying cup when cold brewed.
Leafy golden Assam estate in my cup. Very mellow, likable and not malty for a change.

Definitely a roasted Chinese oolong, the specifics of which I can't remember now. I'm no good with this sort of question.
Soon to be in my cup: Wuyi Ensemble.

Oh, Deprav, you have it bad!
Luckily, my daughter outgrew the Wiggles before we got to hear the teapot song! I saw them the other day as I was flipping through channels and they looked 1) way older and 2) way thinner. It kind of made them look even creepier than they used to.

Yikes, a landslide so far. I was the first to vote Japanese. However there was also had some very good Chinese and Taiwanese and Indian (Darjeeling). Overall, a most excellent TeaSummer!
Began the TD with what else, Japanese sencha Makinohara from Rishi with DW. Last of a sample which I enjoyed quite a bit.

Can decide, there were so many. Either China or Nepal.
I'm now ready for a good cup of something. Last one was over 6 hours ago! Where is the day going?
Happy TeaDay!

Oops, how could I have forgotten about all those wonderful Darjeeling samples that we had?
And yes, overall, a most excellent TeaSummer!
Currently in my cup, Spring Sprout.
