Wow, all such classic quotes, many of which are just ingrained into American culture...
I went with pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, because I think I probably use that one the most frequently. I have probably used at least half of those in the last year.
This morning, I'm going to squeak out a few more cups of the CNNP 7581 shou, and then I will move onto something else this afternoon. What will that be?

I don't use any of the quotes listed above but hear them fairly often.

Toto...Kansas.
The global population was one third of the present day teaming figure, when this movie came out.
Overpopulated and under-developed nations have efficiently exported a portion of their excess masses to formerly flatlined, wealthier nations whose pie-eyed leaders saw value in cheap labor and artificially boosting the working vs retired ratio. They have ignored the factor of marginal costs for providing social services for each additional excess unit in society, a cost not offset by taxes paid over their labor lifetime.
Unfortunately, the immigrants came with a history of having large families, and now we have unexpected population growth for the first time in decades, in industrialized nations who are also major polluters and natural resource siphons.
No, we are not in Kansas anymore.

``... K*...''
This is the place I have put myself in the position of `not being' too many times over the years.
Once while in a new neighborhood I heard a commotion outside and noisily went out the front door and found myself between two rival gangs approaching each other with pipes. I backed into the door as quietly as I could.
I'm mixed Ippodo Hosen with O-Cha surugawase this morning, 3gr + 3gr in a 8oz kyusu, and it's pretty good! The Hosen is well-made but boring, and the Surugawase is interesting but it dries the palate too much (for me) in the finish, but the resulting blend is better than either individual.

I think I saw TWoO when I was very little, because I have half-remembered images of that wicked witch, mixed with another evil witch from another movie. It may have given me a fright, because I seem to have been particularly afraid of witches growing up. Luckily, I didn't meet one until I was 30.
I've had one cup of sencha today. Less is more, as they say.

"We're not in Kansas anymore," seemed tremendously cool the first time I heard it many years ago, but the edge has worn off through overuse. Besides that one, Oz quotations haven't been a big part of my life.

"Now that's a horse of a different color" - The first time I saw WoOz in color I thought it was sooooo cool that he (the mayor?) said this and the horse was changing colors...it turned from white into bright beautiful non-horse colors one after another as the scene progressed.
This question reminded me of another movie that DH and I tend to quote lines from, The Jerk with Steve Martin...not a "classy" movie like the Wizard, just good comedy with LOTS of funny one-liners!
It is interesting how movie lines can become part of the common fabric of our shared existence.
So far in my cup...Ceylon Vithanakande with some homemade whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread. My first attempt at breadmaking (not using the big noisy bread machine)...overflowed my new bread baking bowl, but it is still a nice accompaniment to good tea!
Happy day,
Dreamer
P.S. Trey you are toooo funny!

The Jerk is one of my favorite movies!
The quote I remember from WoZ is when Glinda tells the Wicked Witch: "You'd better be careful or someone might drop a house on you." I always liked that because Glinda was reminding the Wicked Witch that she wasn't invulnerable.

The movie is so rich in memorable lines, and everytime I watch it, I pick up on another. Lots of scary one liners, and lots of humorous one liners as well. It is one of only a few movies I can quote lines from verbatum.

Hmmm, it's hard to choose, the quotes are so well-used. So I won't.
This morning (afternoon now,) oolong from Serenity Art in my cup. I've forgotten which one because I forgot to label the canister. Heh. It's yummy though.
