Re: Thursday TeaDay 10/01/09 Best of September?
I think 90% of my tea drinking in September may have been pu'erh, so my best sort of defaults to a Chinese tea.
Perhaps that's why I switched to a tai ping hou kui this morning? I had forgotten it was the 1st of October. Where does the time go?
Hope everybody had a great September!

Stocks have been running a little low of late and so my favourite tea of september was probably the 2006 CNNP/Xiaguan "Xiao Fa" Tuocha (shu pu-erh).
Nothing in my cup as of yet but will probably have a bowl of Uji Matsukaze Matcha (East Teas, London) shortly.

My favorite tea in September was O-Cha's Kame-Jiru-Shi. This gyo is more satisfying to me than the more expensive Tsuru-Jiru-Shi.
More Adagio Ali Shan in my cup this morning.

October already?? September was hectic and went by in a flurry. Trying to think back on what was my favorite tea...?
I guess I'd have to say Chinese because my morning Yunnan was so greatly appreciated for getting me going every day.
Ok, October...ready, set, GO!
Have a great TeaDay and a great October!

'Twas Chinese, as usual. Japan a distant second, followed by Taiwan.
It seems I take every care to ensure that the countries of origin are arranged in alphabetical order. A subconscious reflex or just ordinary Teansanitea?
White Peony seems appropriate for this crisp fall day.

My vote was for Chinese because I've really been enjoying a Hunan Black from TeaSource.
This morning I'm drinking Nilgiri Chamraj.
CONGRATULATIONS, CynTEAa, on your 10th Anniversary!

ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!!
My fave for September would probably be the Mengku Holy Charm Pu-erh that Ebtoulson spoke so highly of last month - So, Chinese. It seems like my faves are always Chinese lol
I purchased 2 of these beengs and will be saving them for my son. I'll give them to him in about 25 years
(If they age well, of course.)
Thanks again Ebtoulson!

Chinese tea again. As usual. Sweet, sweet oolongs.
Oh, dear. It's almost 1 o'clock and I haven't gotten anything done--and only had one cup of tea! Time to fix both of these things. Yeah, feeling a little lazy today.
Congrats, CynTEAa!

Congrats Cyn and Olivier!
No big surprise here, Japanese! A specific tea? I must think about that a bit more, there have been several that were stellar.
Began the TD with Zencha Fuji Super Premium which is certainly was. SweeTea stopped in briefly for some before running off while Wulong wanted to stick around, but not for tea.

In this dry and chili month, I enjoyed oriental beauty a lot
But my vote goes for TGY. Normally TGY is always one of my favorite, but not THE favorite. This months, I tasted 5 TGY products from the same source at different price levels. That's quite an enjoyment and nice learning experience.
Besides, last month, a new friend gave me half a pound TGY after just a brief conversation about tea. I was deeply touched by his friendliness and generosity. Half a pound tea carried by a person from China to Canada is very precious! I finally opened the pack and tasted it. It tastes great too!
So TGY is my tea of the month!
