Weird timer abbreviations

by horsencl » Oct 1st, '09, 23:46

I bought a new tea timer off of Amazon and it has some weird abbreviations that I've never seen before. The company didn't even know when I called them because they come programmed from China that way. Any help?

Brozh Bao Zhong ?
Booln brown Oolong (Heavy Oxidized)?
Chia Pet ?
Gooln Green Oolong ?
Jadeo Jade Oolong (Lightly Oxidized) ?
Pooch pouchong ?
Peuht Pu'erh ?
Japan - Japanese Greens ?
China - Chinese (Black) ?

Obviously, lots of BIG geuesses - what does each temperature represent?

Well now - interesting.

Since bao zhong and pouchong are the same thing, the first one is probably something else. Are these listed in order by degrees?

Chia pet sounds right on though.

Chia = chai

Common dyslexic misspelling. The customer service folk wouldn't be expected to catch the mistake. If you Google the search term 'Chia tea' the results page gives hits demonstrating the misspelling several times.

Not sure what 'root tea' refers to....ginger tea??

Yeah we know it's chai, we're joking.
Or at least I am.
