The Lochans are about to start an online tea tasting on their Facebook wall!

Lots of free tea for the cost of mere postage.

Only the first 50 sign ups are eligible, so please hurry, if you wan't your nearly free tea.

"Ankit here .. i have an idea.. what do u say? lets have a facebook online tasting... we will provide one ounce of diffrent samples from darjeeling, assam, nilgiri teas to the first 50 sign up's ... and basically deliver them free of cost for the teas .. we will only charge for the shipping... we will allow one week time for the participants to taste the tea and then one by one .. one tea a day we will ask people to post their comments and ratings for the tea.. this will be fun and we can actually discuss and lean a lot..."

But the whole idea behind this is to have tasting notes and comparisons on Facebook. You might consider making up an account just for the tasting with a faux name if you are not interested in joining Facebook "officially".

I'm not on facebook and I'd like to participate...

FB is so much fun, you'll soon get your own network of contacts & friends. Besides, it's far simpler to communicate with tea vendors on FB, than just via email.

I've been there, say, for some 6 months now. Initially, I had my doubts, but have never looked back.

And, as Victoria aptly stated the entire idea is to evaluate the teas online. I guess they'll start posting the samples as soon as there are 50 signups or so.

It's going to be fun, as we're gonna see the wide spectrum rainbow of opinions and all.
