Of course! There's always good fresh matcha around here, and also at least a couple of selections of Sencha. Yummmmm!

Japanese green tea makes up about one third of my tea stocks. I have 733 grams of sencha and 487 grams of gyokuro, and I might pick up a couple more bags of sencha to get me through 'till spring. I'm planning to drink more gyo for afternoon tea through the fall and winter. I feel better with Japanese green tea as a regular part of my diet.

Last tea of the day was Jing's semi-wild wudong dancong.

Japanese tea drinker in a pickle here.

I've got a gyo and a sencha from Yuuki-Cha in front of me, I want to drink the sencha as I've just finished a bag of gyo. Trouble is I don't know which is which.

Help me out good people of Teachat.

The one on the left is vacuum packed and the one on the right not. I get the feeling I should probably be able to tell the difference by now

Proinsias, let us know how the organic gyokuro is. I am curious about it.

Aw, it happens! Yes, please let us know how they are.

There are plenty of Japan teas in the house. I love them so!

Had trouble sleeping last night, so it's going to be a l-o-n-g Friedday.

Wishing you all a good one!

I love Japanese greens. This is a great year for sencha lovers. I currently have two packages open, and going strong (O-Cha offerings of Sae Midori and Warashina Supreme, an organic sencha from Shizuoka). The Sae Midori is sublime and the Warashina Supreme is suprisingly good as I have not been impressed with organic senchas up to this point.

I nominate Kagoshima Sencha Sae Midori as the "Green Tea of The Year" for its full fresh flavour, unrelenting sweetness, forgiving nature (regarding brewing excesses), and consistent quality. I know that this is a bold statement but give it a try if you haven't already tasted it.

In the spirit of todays poll I just polished off a pot of Sae Midori which filled my Deishi biwa tea bowl twice. Yum!

Plenty of Japanese green here: not too many opened (Kaboku, houjicha, otsuusan sencha, karigane gyokuro, tsuru jiru shi gyokuro and wakamatsu no mukashi matcha) but a lot more in my fridge. I received yesterday two packages of warashina, one of tsuru jiru shi and one of houjicha.

Kaboku sencha in a few minutes.

Still have some Yutaka Midori left from O-Cha, and some Sencha Overture from Adagio.
That's about it as far a Japanese greens go...

Do I really need to answer this question? Obviously Japanese greens dominate my tea selection!

I would agree with this pretty much completely. Adding it is also great for newer or more experienced Japanese tea drinkers. I may polish mine off today as well, Murrius!

But, began the TD with the new Yame sencha from Den's. I seem to have a fascination with Yame tea, not sure this is my tastebuds doing the talking. Anyway, opened it up today. SweeTea likes the Yame leaf too it seems, while Wulong will need more convincing.

Yes, at least a few - to actually quite a few. I still have Sae Midori opened in my large tea fridge (which I also happen to store my other food in) and a new unopened package too. A couple of matcha that I have yet to open, a Sakura from Den's unopened and 3 new Japanese greens from Camellia Sinensis I have yet to open.

Started the day with a lovely Nilgiri from Tao of Tea called Neela.

I have sencha. And lots of it. In my cup too, as it happens.

I've got a few Japanese greens in stock, all of them types of genmaicha or houjicha, though. Unroasted Japanese greens are hell on my otherwise iron-clad stomach.

In my cup: houji-genmaicha from Den's.

I have two Japanese greens at the moment from o-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa cha, Sae Midori and Ujibashi San no Ma. Yummy in da tum tum tummay! I actually kinda prefer sae midori though...the other is a bit too "weak" in comparision, but maybe I just stink at brewing hahaha ;) I am missing my yutaka midori, atleast a friend has some, I'll have to bug her occasionally for some.

I would love to try out some gyokuro, but that requires new teaware! AHHHHHH already broke...

Having another cup of puttabong before fluid mechanics and journal readingsss, with SUGAR!!! weeeee, hopefully no one will eat all five pounds of it before the day is over...hahahaha

Everybody have a good day!
