Hrm, since I joined TeaChat to learn about tea, I didn't know a lot about teaware before. Things have certainly changed now, though I know that I still only know a fraction.
Although I own mostly Chinese teaware, I think I enjoy looking at Japanese teaware the most. But because I don't need it, other priorities (like buying more tea) weigh over buying more teaware.
More rock oolong this morning. I stayed up a bit later than normal last night and don't have much time to futz around this morning.

There has been slight changes, such as adding Gaiwans and a tea table. I'm sure there's more to come as well.

Considering that I was using coffee mugs when I joined TeaChat, the change has been pretty radical. I now have two shelves full of teaware. Lots of yixing and a sprinkling of hagi thanks to the special offers here.

My teaware has changed greatly since I joined TeaChat.
Before TeaChat I used a Teavana PerfectTea and a Bodum Glass pot with built-in leaf compressor. But I've now replaced them with a very small collection of vessels that perfectly brew any type of tea and a handful of Japanese cups. I probably mentioned before that I am a minimalist, I don't like to be distracted by having too many ``things'', so it's surprising that I have as much teaware as I do.
Hou de's Lao Cong Zheng-Yen Shui Xian is my breakfast tea again this morning -- in a porcelain cup with a picture of the harlequin duck photo-mosaic (a mosaic made up of photos) that's on display at the Kettle Pond visitor center in Charlestown, RI

I'm afraid we are all enablers for Chip and his Hagi-jones.

... but at least I enjoy sharing the Hagi-jones.
Radically changed for certain, but that is 3.5 years ago. However even a year ago, I did not own a single piece of Hagi for instance, a direct influence of TC changed all that.
But when I came here, I did use kyusu-s, still do. But generally only used a small porcelain Asian cup. Still as much as my teaware use has changed, many things have remained much the same.

As I started drinking matcha shortly after joining Teachat, I have bought a few matcha related items since then. I wouldn't say my tastes have changed but it sure helped me to find good vendors.

I'm not sure how much teachat "influenced" me, but it definitely gave me the knowledge to make the correct purchases. I started off with a teavana "perfect tea maker". I determined that japanese greens were my favorite kind of tea so I bought a kyusu. After a few months of drinking nothing but green tea I wanted a change and decided to try some oolongs. I purchased a gaiwan for my oolongs and other teas. I also wanted to try some black teas so I bought an english style ceramic teapot. I only have those three teapots but i'm only into the 2nd year of my tea journey

My teaware has gotten smaller for sure. Plus, I learned what a gaiwan is and now have one. The aesthetics, though, remain pretty much the same.
Just Irish Breakfast so far this morning.

Yes in a radical way for me. I had some Asian teaware, but nothing clay, and I never even heard of Hagi. Most of my brewing was done in my ingenuiTea.
In my cup this morning a new one from Tao of Tea - Kali Cha a Darjeeling oolong, that missed the mark.

I have definitely noticed a change in my teaware after I joined this forum. The first time I got into teas, I had bought a HUGE glass teapot and a nice big mug. Now I've downsized and have several different kinds of teapots and have accumulated a few smaller cups.

Increased variety in teas led to increased variety in teaware and brewing technique.
The TC-viral effect. :-0
Tiger Hill OP in my cup to start. Yancha up next.
So the NE US now has its share of 'unseasonably cold'. Those of us in the West are thankfully warmer, dry and sunny - our version of Indian Summer.
