Greetings TeaGoblins. Please stop in and share what is in your cup throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed numbers of steeps per year. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaRoom poll and discussion topic. Way off the topic of tea today, even I need a break every so often! Halloween is coming quickly. Will you be watching some scary movies? Please share with us.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone.

No tradition for Halloween in France (although some stores tried to import it some years ago) so no reason to watch some scary movie particularly at this time of the year.

Although not a Norwegian tradition, Halloween has become increasingly popular during the last decade, particularly among kids (go figure).
I don't care for traditional horror movies, since they are hardly ever scary, but one of my favorite movies is Alien, which I think fits the bill just fine. Also, I secretly like Signs, which I know puts me in the minority. Not sure if I'll watch them on Halloween, though.

Halloween was never one of the American traditions that caught on with me even when I lived in the US.
I like to watch a horror flick once in a while, but most are just not very scary. I have been on a roll with another fear-inducing type of movie: I have been re-watching all the Hitchcock movies lately -- The Lady Vanishes was the latest last night (excellent early Hitchcock).

Nope. I have never understood the fascination with the "horror movie" genre'. There are enough scary aspects about the real world without deliberately going to something to try to scare yourself for "fun". I don't watch them at any time of the year.

It isn't likely I will be watching anything scary with an almost 3 year old with me always unless you think Alvin and the Chipmunks and Werewolf is scary. I guess just having to watch it is classified scary.

Re: Saturday TeaRoom 10/24/09 BOOOO!
We might watch some comedy/horror movies: Rocky Horror, Army of Darkness, Love at First Bite, ...
My Hagi finally arrived late yesterday. Both pieces are really handsome, and they don't leak!
Fukamushi superior in a new Deishi wan this morning. This cup seems to make the tea taste brighter.

Just a cup of breakfast black so far today (Mokalbarie East Assam spiked with a bit of Kenya for variety). But I think something green will be called for shortly to help cheer up a wet and gloomy MIdwestern Saturday.

Absolutly!
I love horror movies. Thats the only reason halloween is one of my fav. holidays. Already watched Saw 1-3 a few nights ago and some goosebumps(not really scary) and a few more I can't remember now.

I like suspenseful movies, like Hitchcock's films, but a big NO to the entire horror movie genre.
It's a sunny, brisk fall day here in the Pacific NW and I'm enjoying some Adagio Cinnamon tea to go with the weather.
Later, I'm taking my daughter to get some pumpkins for Halloween and possibly making a new Butternut Squash Soup recipe that I saw in a magazine.
Happy Saturday TeaPeeps!

I don't like to be scared; it's not fun. I'd much rather laugh. Making fun of scary movies with spoofs, now that's fun.
Camellia Sinensis Darjeeling Gopaldhara Wt-1 1st flush in my cup this morning. Feels chilly here, but I know it will warm up soon enough.

Drat, lost Comcast internet, cable and also phone service for much of the day. Also lost my TD post as a result.
I like to be scared, just not by a tea! So, scary movies, roller coasters, whatever, bring it on. Sometimes the fear factor is almost overwhelming, like when I am at the start line of a bicycle race surrounded by seemingly fearless bikers sometimes half my age ...
But I will definitely search out some scary movies. I would say my favorite franchise is the Halloween series. YIKES, turn around Jamie Lee, he is getting back up!!!!!!!!!
Suspense genre, *loves* as well.
Began the TD with Hatsumi from O-Cha in a Sea Cuke Hagi. SweeTea was front and center for a free handout whileWulong, Ceylon and Pyrit stopped by.
Next up, Sencha Premier from O-Cha ... in a Biwa Hagi. Finishing the TD with Zencha Fuga Limited Edition.

I have a feeling I will be at the mercy of a couple of teenagers on Halloween night... so the movie menu will be up to them. I have to give a big +1 to the original "Halloween" movie... no sequels, no remakes, just the original. I love suspense and psychological thrillers more than blood and guts, so I always had a soft spot for Michael Myers... much classier than Jason, IMO.
White Assam in my cup, a sample I uncovered from Victoria, I think. Very nice.
By the way, I have received my latest Hagi pieces and they are absolutely spectacular.
I just need a chance to soak them and give them a test-drive.

Re: Saturday TeaRoom 10/24/09 BOOOO!
I think I'm in the majority here today...although definitely in the minority in my own family. I don't like scary movies, because they actually scare me
. My family, on the other hand, loves them...the more gruesome the better. I am just back from being out of town for a few days and my DH and son were so glad that I was going to be gone so they could go see the new Saw movie without deserting me on a Saturday night. I agree with ky', the original Halloween movie was good and scary...I have no desire to watch it again! Hey Chip, my family loves roller coasters too, but they get to enjoy that thrill without me too!!!
Today so far Black Spiral in my cup. Busy trip...I did have black tea in the mornings and Tulsi at night, but didn't get any greens. Today there must be some green on the menu!
Boooo,

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I do love scary movies, but am picky about what I like. The Shining is my absolute favorite and those twins make me scream every time I watch it. It is the only movie I'm afraid to watch alone.
Today drinking some wonderful Li Shan oolong from Floating Leaves.
