Hello,
Thanks for taking a look at the video.
The overall length is about 9 meters, one chamber. It has 6 levels but no dividing walls. I have a lot of pictures of the construction if you are interested, please see http://davidmorrisonpike.com/snakekiln/ ... ekiln.html There are about 500 pictures.
Is your kiln a single chamber catenary down draft type?
Dave

Dave...thanks for the link to your kiln images. Currently, I am a nomadic firer, firing at two or three wood kilns in my region. I mostly fire with Chris Gustin in South Dartmouth, MA. His kiln is an anagama with two attached catenary arch kilns. I fired with Jeff Shapiro in Accord, NY this past August and really like his kiln, which is more of a tunnel kiln. I am planning to construct a kiln on my property in the coming year.

Dave...took a look at the kiln construction pics...that was quite the undertaking. I enjoyed reading about Nanban...I was unfamiliar with it.

I am trying to post some images from the June firing, but I keep getting an error message, saying my files are invalid...they are jpeg files. Is any one else encountering this problem?

Are you posting as attachments or using a photohoster like photobucket or similar?

Size seems to be the biggest issue people have.

If an attachment, have you tried resizing the photos to less than 500 pixels wide? However there can be a delayed effect with this, strangely.

Photohosted photos can be up to 640 pixels.

Hi Chip...I am adding them as attachments, and they are approximately 300 x 200 pixels. I resize in PhotoShop and make sure the files are saved as JPEGs. I have not encountered this problem before here, and I can post the same images to other sites, such as FB and my blog.

I had a problem yesterday when trying to post an image that was not mine (linked to an e-bay listing): resized it in photoshop to fit the size requirement, renamed it several times, and still couldn't post it as an attachment because the file was 'invalid'. I've not had any similar problem posting images from my flickr. This was the first attempt to post an image as an attachment in a very long time.

OK, you are right, attachments are not working presently. I will look into this.

However, photohosting is working ...
