Re: Does green tea get old?
tea doesn't get "old," it just becomes "aged"
but seriously, the shelf life for green tea is pretty limited compared to other teas, and it's one of the main reasons why I don't buy as much of it, because drinking tea just to finish it before it gets bad is a chore, and tea drinking is something I don't want to become a chore. I think for Chinese greens there's usually a noticeable decrease in flavor after 6 months to a year, while for Japanese greens I'd say about 2 months or so.
Just my two cents

You can however store unopened packages in your fridge.Maitre_Tea wrote:I think for Chinese greens there's usually a noticeable decrease in flavor after 6 months to a year, while for Japanese greens I'd say about 2 months or so.
