Tea Chef
I've tried 2 times to participate in tea chef...with no sample arriving. Why am I rejected?
Humans are a dangerous breed...just look at what they do to each other.
There was an earlier message that explained things- I believe, if I remember right. Somebody
put it on a spam type thing and they get thousands of emails now so it is very hard to make sure their customers get the samples as they have to go through all the others also. Blame the person that had to go ruin a good thing, not the administration (and no it's not the "in" crowd- they may have just been around longer and on the list prior to the vandalism).

About the "in crowd" once your a teachef member your in as long as you submit a recipe. These people who you consider to be part of the "in crowd" where just around longer and signed up before the problems started. I think adagio should let you login with your customer account to bypass any question as to if you should get the sampler or not.

I got my sample of green pekoe the other day and will experiment with it on Saturday. I have a few ideas that might work. This is the first time I applied and got the sample. I'm so excited ! I certainly don't consider myself part of any "in crowd" either. I just buy a lot of tea from Adagio and try to keep my posts here positive and friendly.
I did try making a cup of the green pekoe last night to get a feel for it's character and must have steeped it incorrectly since there was little color or flavor to it. I used 1 tsp for 6 oz and steeped for 3 minutes and 180 degrees. The tin did not have any brewing instructions on it. Any suggestions? I feel like I should have used 2 tsp. per 6 oz.
Also, I would like to post a picute of my completed recipe but am not sure how to do that. Can i just attach the picture to my submission form or will Adagio contact me if they want a picture?
Happy sipping...............

I just thought of another question. Next month's TeaChef tea is Irish Breakfast. I already have a stash of Adagio's Irish Breakfast on hand since that's what I drink every morning. If I want to contribute a recipe next month do I still have to submit a request for the free sample or can I just use my own stuff and then still send in my recipe ?
Happy sipping..................

Re: Tea Chef
Try e-mailing ilya or info@adagio at the same time you put in your request. (maybe I should get the adagio job, i do do a lot of customer service, of course, I'm also guilty of blasting people i see as rude. bad habit that. I've realy got to work on that)Snow on Cedar wrote:I've tried 2 times to participate in tea chef...with no sample arriving. Why am I rejected?
Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cozy, dosn't try it on.

VBGuy - I don't think you have to request a sample to be able to submit a recipe. Also, yes, you need 2tsp of Green Pekoe for it to taste like anything (at least that is what my dad says and he drinks a lot of it). As for the picture, I think you just submit it to Ilya after you submit your recipe.

Please stop being such a troll and continuing to shit on people's threads. At the very least have the guts to sign in. It's easy to throw stones when no one knows who you are.
Please have the guts to use polite language, even if someone else is being mean or difficult. There is absolutely no excuse for the way you worded your response; it drips of ugly hate.
As you have little tolerance for personal attacks on your friends, I have little tolerance for your kind of attitude.

Dear Guest,
I understand you have issues with Adagio. I understand you might have taken offense to something Marlene may have said to someone at some point in time. None of us are perfect.
Please try to help others be better instead of insulting them and condemning them, however talented you may be at doing so.
Thank you. I appreciate your visiting and reading TeaChat. I'd love for you to contribute in a more positive way.

Kudos. I'm sorry someone took aim at you as you expressed clear self-knowledge toward improving yourself.
I personally think certain Guests like it when you blast others and are trying to provoke you.
Some people like conflict and high-emotion drama. Other people prefer warmth, understanding, and compassion. I prefer a lot of the latter and a little of the former, just like I like my tea.
