Sell me your gaiwan!
Hehe... well I want to buy a gaiwan, but it's very hard to find a nice one (for a reasonable price) online, there really aren't too many sources for them (unless you speak chinese I guess). So I was wondering if anyone has a gaiwan they would be willing to sell me, I don't mind if it's used or not. It would be cool if you had paypal, that way payment would be easy.

Well I was thinking about spending something in the $5 to $10 range... it seems like a ripoff to pay much more than that, I was looking at a chinese website and they were selling for about $4 (at least I think they were, not too great converting yen to dollers)

Here's where I got mine.

The less expensive ones are at the bottom and page 2. Mine's the gold fishie. I also got a bat one, but they don't have it anymore.

$10 to $15 seems a more reasonable retail range. I wouldn't even call $20 a rip-off if it were of good quality, sold by a reliable retailer you'd like to support, well packaged, and available for immediate and quick delivery.rabbit wrote:Well I was thinking about spending something in the $5 to $10 range... it seems like a ripoff to pay much more than that, I was looking at a chinese website and they were selling for about $4 (at least I think they were, not too great converting yen to dollers)
If you are on the ultimate bargain quest, check out Pearl River next time you're in the city. They have, "three piece tea sets," for $5 which are, in essence, a Gaiwan.
Pearl River also has such interesting choices as, "Lover's Tea for Men," and, "Lover's Tea for Women," on offer. Only $3.50 for 20 teabags! That's only 18 cents per, well, nevermind . ..
