Happy TeaDay everyone! Please celebrate and share what is in your cup with us throughout the day.
Yesterday we discussed animal/creature illustrations on our teaware. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic takes us one last time to work/school. Does work or school make provisions for your tea drinking enjoyment/habit? Do they supply tea, hot water, anything else? Please share.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Re: Tuesday TeaDay 11/17/09 Work/school helping your habit?
I rarely drink tea at school and if I do I bring it from home in a thermos. So the answer to the poll is no.
Just tried chamomile for the second time tonight. The smell of apple pie was very tempting but the flavor was far from it. O well the sample was only a dollar.

My "home base" provides quite a bit for making tea -- hot water as well as a wide selection of teas (bagged, but still not too bad). It's been awhile since I've been there to see what they have now. My current place just supplies hot water, which still isn't too bad.
No tea this morning. Off I rush to the gym. Have a great TeaDay everybody!

I did not want to get out of bed today!
My workplace is very coffee centric. Theres plenty of coffee but just hot water for tea. Up until now my schedule has been too packed for tea but I just got good news. I was assigned to a student who arrives at school 1 hour after I start so I may have time for tea. I'm going to bring my thermometer today to see how "hot" the hot water tab on the cooler is and start figuring out the logistics of brewing (where I can hide a kyusu etc...)
tsuru today... yummmmmmy!

I work from home, and I have to say that I'm very understanding of my tea habits. The staff always makes sure that I have ample amounts of hot water, teaware, and my favorite teas available. Tea drinking is actively encouraged in this office, and even loud slurping noises are met with quiet approval.
Enjoying some White Peony in the workplace today.

Started my TeaDay with Yunnan Gold and quickly moving on to a sencha. Then a pouchong, me thinks.
Re: Tuesday TeaDay 11/17/09 Work/school helping your habit?
The only hot water available here comes through the coffee machine so I voted Definitely Not. I'm sure there are some ancient tea bags somewhere in the back of a drawer in the employee lounge, but I'd be afraid to try them. I have my own electric kettle and bring my water and tea.
A couple years ago I cleaned a lot of tea bags out at home and brought them to work. They disappeared fairly quickly, so there must have been someone who appreciated them!

Work most certainly helps my habit! Of my 10 to 15 cups a day... almost all of them are consumed at work!

About to have some Wuyi Ensemble while I write an essay.

Work does not provide any tea provisions. Although they do provide equiptment needed for those who want coffee. If I want it I bring it and take it back with me.
Re: Tuesday TeaDay 11/17/09 Work/school helping your habit?
I'm all set at work! I even have my own 'tea station' complete with kettle, storage area for teas and my teawares.
However, the only thing that is sorely missed is
'My private brewer'!!!

They afford me the office which allows my private tea area, and they supply bottled water. It would be nice to have a tea expense account that would equal the Keurig coffee allowance, but that's not too likely, ha.
This morning's cup was Soom Estate from Tea Gschwendner. I always have to look up the vender's spelling!
Have a nice day everyone!

Work tries to provide cheap coffee and cheap tea to those who want it, so I usually bring my own.
I'm drinking Hibiki-an gyokuro superior for breakfast. For a cheap gyo this isn't too bad. It's a little coarse but it's satisfying at the same time. I wouldn't want it to be a staple but I won't mind having it from time to time either.
I'll be on the road until Friday so I'll check back then. Have a good Tea Week folks.

A fair bit actually, though I've been called a snob for not partaking.
The only tea supplied is Lipton.
I have never complained though, I've just always brought my own in.
There is, however, a beautiful hot water dispenser.
I believe it comes out at approximately 8 billion degrees Fahrenheit.
Perfect.
There used to be two, but one is so encrusted that it would take a week to get 6 oz out of it.
